grumpy while sweet spotting

ok well I was going along sweet my superbolt properly, using the maddmann rocket valve and green main. except at the sweet spot with the ivg 3 turns in it was at 200 fps. I thought, no big deal I'll just turn the ivg in some. I get it up to 300 and now it leaks down the barrel horribly between shots, and thats not good since I just switched it to pump. so I just turn the hpr up until it doesnt leak and then turn in the ivg till iget to velocity, and I just keep doing that till it doesnt leak and I'm at speed. It farts like a mofo now. I'm going to mess with it more the next time i play, since by then my shocktech phat hammer should have arrived.

dont lose hope just yet. wait for someone that knows about the maddman valve to come in and help you. im almost positive theres a trick to the maddman valves.

thats kind of a ridiculous setup, I think I should have paid the extra 5 bucks for the shocktech valve.

well valve pin tension is adjusted through that spring,
give it a try.

yeah, I was going to mess with that, but I really dont want to file the pin down, unless I cant get rid of the farting any other way.

I think if I just spend more time with it I should be good, since when lowering the hpr 1 turn my velocity goes up to like 340 from 290 but it leaks, I just needed to get it shooting at velocity so i could play, next time I go home I'll go to my proshop with a bag of paint and use their chrono so theres no pressure on getting the gun shootable in time.

raise the spring tension of the valve. raise pressure a bit and set IVG.

I cant really raise the pressure, right now it's about a half turn from max on my hyper 2 and thats way above the sweet spot.

yeah, then you need to play with the spring on you madman,

its a nice va;ve but a pain to set in the beginning, well worth it tho.

its better than the stock valve thats for sure, no matter how I sprung the stock one I couldnt get the sweet spot below 450 which was the max of the hyper 2 thats on it.
