i say coke for a lot of different brands, not when i'm asking for somethign specific at a store i say sprite or whatever it is that i want. but i'm just leaving i'll be like brb ima get a coke and and ****. but i'll be thinking dr pepper or other.

I really don't know what I call it the most. I switch between soda and pop. I normally just say what I want though, like I'll just straight up say I want a pepsi.

coke means coca cola. Soda means a carbonated beverage. It says my county uses 'coke' for any carbonated beverage but thats bull****, I've never heard anybody ask for a coke and come back with something besides coca cola.

Depends where in the world you are. In other markets Coca-Cola has such a tremendous market share that the term "coke" has become synonymous with any sort of soft drink. Asia and Latin America are good examples of this. It's sorta like how everyone thinks "Q-Tip" when they think "cotton swab" even though the Q-Tip is the brand it has become synonymous with that kind of product.
