I feel that since photographer's receive a badge for their work, videographer's deserve them aswell
Also, i've decided to make a sample just because i'm nice
You only gave one example. It's like saying "etc.", you need more than one example.
i'm in norcal, give me a norcal badge
i'm in california, give me a california badge
i'm in USA, give me a USA badge
i shoot an ion, give me an ion badge
i have a steely tank, give me a steely tank badge
i use a torque 440, give me a torque 440 badge
i use an NXE podpack, give me an NXE podpack user badge
i wear a camo shirt while ballin, give me a camo shirt badge
i wear blue jeans while ballin, give me a blue jeans badge
that enough?

i wasn't trolling, i am pointing out that if you add more badges, then more people will want a different badge for something else

Yes, that is enough. You see, one needs to set up a pattern before using a term representing an open ended continuation of said pattern. I hope you've learned something.
i want an xbox 360 player badge because i play xbox 360
do you want me to go on?
i'll make a thread about an xbox 360 badge when we get this one first

It'd work under the same guidlines as the photographer badge
just switch pictures for videos

If anything combine the two into one badge, but in all respect badges are annoying.
I think uniting both under one badge would be a good idea, just change the name from the photography badge to the media badge

dot.
any of you guys ever read "if you give a mouse a cookie" when you were younger? kinda reminds me of the badge thing. on the other hand, i adblock everything except ASM, supporting member, and manufacturer rep badges, so i don't care either way.
the photography badge tells who is a photographer
the videographer tells who is a videographer it actually contributes, and helps you identify who does what
just because it's a badge, doesn't mean it's sin
You don't understand, the photobadge serves and ACTUAL purpose. It was the first of the badges to be made and the only that serves and actual purpose to the staff.
Plus as stated, how can you set standards on who receives the 'videographer' (which isn't a real word by the way) anyone can put a video on Youtube these days. Only deserving people of this badge would be those working for Derder, MWAG, Etv, and other nationally known outlets.

why are they they only ones deserving?
Anyone can snap pictures on people playing and upload them to photobucket too, but obviously real photographers are going to have better quality pictures, the same thing applies to better quality videos.
also, since you had to point out videographer isn't a word what do you want to call them?
