The World Series just ended. We're trying to sweep baseball under the rug and move on with real sports. Leave this **** alone.

You answered your first question:

He broke a law. Usually, these weed possession cases are dropped - you simply plead 'not guilty,' and more often than not, it will be pushed back and the cop won't want to show up and the charge will end up being dropped. I'm not sure if it will be the same with him, but that's usually what happens.

Is it a huge deal? No. But he still committed a misdemeanor and probably cost himself money in the process as a result of losing endorsements. Not smart, on his part.

I didn't answer my first question, because him committing a misdemeanor possession offense has absolutely no effect on us, exactly the reason it "doesn't matter". He is no worse of an individual to me, no worse of a pitcher, and doesn't affect me as a fan. He might lose himself some money, woooo. All he has to do is come out and say it is a bad thing and do some community service for drug awareness and he'll get them back. Everyone will forget about it. It doesn't matter to anyone other than him, and if it does "you" (not you specifically) are foolish. It wasn't intelligent on his part, but as I said - it is no worse than getting cited for being drunk after going to the bar. Hell, that drinking is more dangerous.
