Here is the decision on the event 5.

There will be no 7man. I know everyone wants to play, but we tried all the scenarios and it just would not work. 7man Teams will get refunds for paid entry. Please contact me if you have any other questions.

We will be running both 3man divisions and the 5man division.

ATTN ALL 3MAN AND 5MAN TEAMS

Due to some recent township issues, we are unable to play ANYTHING under lights. Most of you now are trying to do the math and figure it out since it is dark at 5pm. Don't worry, we did the math for you. We can do it. However, we will need to start games at 8:15 EXACTLY. The captains meeting will be at 7:30, first game at 8:15 instead of the normal 8:45 am start. We need to do this in order to make sure we finish with enough time to stay within daylights. This for 5man teams means that we will only be taking the top 4 teams from prelims to finals (we will try to take the top 6 if time permits it). Again, this is something totally out of my, Ricks and OA's hands. This is a recent development that had occured last week. Trust me, there are things in the works to try to change and try to fight this however, there is not enough time between the time this verdict came in to this event so we have to abide by the township rules for this event.

Registration Table opens at 6am - Captains Meeting 7:30 - BE PREPARED TO PLAY AT 8:15.

I will do my best to post the playing scedule howver, everyone expect to be ready to play at 8:15.

cyndi... any way we can throw a three man in still? we have a five.. thinking about throwin in a three man... any shot? or none at all?

Absolutly.... The registration page will stay open for today only so go right ahead... 3man can use more teams....

wow....and i dont its fear for those individuals that have to drive 4 hours to go to gpl and spend all that money when you guys knew this last week...and this should have being post it last week...

Only in the final rounds. There will still be 8 prelim games... The finals for 5man HAS to be 4 teams or we will not finish with daylight... As for the 3man's, all depends on the teams. I have been contacted by 3 different teams adding 3mans in.. so it cold be 4 or 6 depending on the final # and daylight.

well it is good to here 3 man is still on eve though im dissapointed in the number of teams i guess its better then nothing....7 man i hate to say but most of us saw this coming im sure...an as for running out of daylight i still say run only 6 or 7 prelim games saturday for 3 man instead of 8 an also do them all before there is a break that way at break teams not moving on can clear out and the teams playing the finals have a nice break to eat gear up an buy paint and what not.maybea do 6 prelim games but if you get 12 teams take 6 to the finals?

3man is not the issue..... only 5man has the issue... 3man there is only about 15 - 17 teams... 5man is about 22-24

cyndi, its brian from shooters. is there any way of just doing 6 teams in the finals for 5 man. we all know 5 man is a rollercoaster and with that many teams it doesnt seem right to only allow 4 to advance. just trying to get clarification as to why 6 would b a problem. hope u guys get the bugs sorted out, either way we'll b there.

Well - first, I sent out an email to all the captains explaining we will do our best with 6 teams HOWEVER, I am telling everyone to expect 4 to finals otherwise. Daylight is an issue right now. Turnaround time in the finals drags and takes longer for teams to turn it around and get back to the field because they are all back to back games. I have teams complain because I push them to hard to turn it around. 4 Teams advancing is 6 Final Games total played. 6 Teams advancing is 15 final games total played. We are going to try our best based on the time of ending of prelims. 4 to the finals is about 30-45 mins of time. Taking 6 puts it up to 2 hours. That is if teams do not drag the turn around time.

Like I said, we are going to do our best based on the finish time of the prelims. But if we take the chance with the 6 teams and end up not finishing the finals, then the rules state scores stand as is and then the teams have to go by what they have played which isnt fair either. Right now I am looking out the window, it is 4:55 and it is to dark to run ANY games. Keep that all in mind.

food for thought for next year... nppl games start at 7:30... sucks.... but were use to it.

Cyndi it would be more logical to atleast take 8 teams from 5 man prelims and run the quarters on both fields the time would be the same. No way can you take 4 teams out of 24 to the finals. What if say 6-7 teams go 8-0 in the prelims? I'm pretty sure if fields ran on time it could work.
