Here it is once again the up's and down's of the final event of the season.
My personal opinion-
Down's
It was a big surprise to me that we had to play two different fields without being notified ahead of time. Also I didn't like the way the prelims and semi's were changed but I know that those changes were made for the better and I'm sure lori and anthony didn't know they were going to be making those changes until last minute.
Up's
I am happy that they gave us 2 different fields so were not playing the same field ten times
I'd like to thank lori anthony and elvis and all the other awesome people involved in the NEPL for making this an awesome season. You managed to stay alive in this struggling economy and you still continue to give the players what they ask for.

Well first off I didn't play the event, but I was there with my team and this is what I saw.
Ups:
Reffing from what I saw was good. No major complaints.

I would like to give a HUGE thanks to Cape Cod Paintball for making the decision to let our D2 team go on to finals instead of themselves because of an incident that happened during their game with 187. That was the most stand up thing i've seen since being in the sport of paintball. Once again thank you Cape Cod Paintball for that, the team really appreciates it.
Downs: I had 3 games in about an hour and a half than my team had 10+ game sits in between.
I thought it could have been run a little faster but I honestly didn't care.

When you know what you want and you focus upon what you want and keep heading towards what you want then eventually you will get what you want. For you must first dream before you can live the dream.
I must say I greatly enjoyed playing a round on the 7man field. We walked field 4 only to realize we were playing field 3. None the less getting to play on a different field, one that no one was expecting, made for a great game. Especially after replaying cup layout for the second time.
Ups - reffing was great, fairly relaxed play today. awesome weather made it a great day, turf was fast because of the rain last night. good sportsmanship from what I saw too. The lobsters last breakout made my day.
Downs - nothing really.

Big thanks to cape code pantball. Real classy thing to do. As for upton, I was honestly really disappointed that they would do that. I mainly play AXBL and have played against them and watched them play in that venue. I just thought they were better than that.

And everyone played good today.. When people play good, I get good footage haha and today was one of those days .. expect a mix within the next couple weeks for the nepl
Upton tried to make it so Cape Cod would make it into the final 4 instead of Identity...by shooting themselves in the foot I heard...why would they do this? who knows...they probably felt as if Cape Cod was the easier team and wanted them in

anyone care to give me a lil info on what happened with the lobsters breakout too? hahah
Pretty much we just ran a break out known as the "KameHameHAAAAAA." All guns up otb stacked at home. We wait for Chi to charge up the kamehameha, then on "HAAAAAAAA," we break out to random spots on the field.
Edit: I'm pretty sure jdev got some photos of it, phamous got a pic of a few of us scrambling all over the field shortly after our firing sequence.
I guess I'll add my long-winded post to the subject.
We played Event 5 because we had won the prize for entrance and some paint.
We won our 1st 4 games of prelims and knew we would make it to finals.
We decided to not buy anymore paint until finals to save money.
We played limited paint and went out to have fun for our last 2 prelim games.
When we played Cape Cod, someone from Cape yelled at Nick to shoot himself so they could make the playoffs. He shot himself.
He didn't know it would affect Identity's chances of making finals. Honestly, we could care less either way.
