04 prostock loud

Alright so I have an 04 prostock, completely stock except for a macro line that I put on. So over a couple of months ago I was using it in a game and all of a sudden it got louder than what it used to shoot before. So when I got home I cleaned it and everything but it was still soemwhat loud, it isn't really too much of a problem but I just wanted to know why it is louder than usual since I am getting a little annoyed that I don't know how it happened lol. So any ideas of what couldve happened and what I could do to bring the sound down a bit?

Your HPR might have crept up, the best thing to do if that's the case would be to take the reg apart and re-lube everything and put it back together. Did you chrono it after it got louder? (it should be shooting faster than when you first did, assuming you chrono before going to play)

Yes I did chrono it and it crept up just a bit from 240 to 256 I put it bak down but it was still loud. I also just lubed everything and it's still a little loud. Wat is the HPR if I may ask, I'm a little new to all these parts

High Pressure Regulator (inline reg), then it's almost certain your HPR crept up, you should service it as stated before and if it gives you any more trouble get a cheap black magic/ergo, hyper 2 or bob long torpedo (older style), they are all $30ish BNIB, and that should take care of the problem.

If you have a spare ASA and 0-600 PSI gauge you can make a HPR testing rig, just put the gauge in the hose port of the ASA, screw your HPR into the ASA and air it up see where it's at right now and take it down 25ish PSI, then adjust the FPS with the IVG (velocity nut).
