im sort of new but I have a tippmann a5 and i know they can be a bit of a gas hog using the cyclone also for air, but im only getting around 400-450 shots on a 3000psi/ 48ci tank. is that normal to be that low or is it a bad tank or something? http://www.paintball-discounters.com...i-aluminum.htm thats the tank i have

I am not a big Tippmann fan, but on the A5 doesn't the cyclone system work off the air? If that is correct then I would say with it being a 48ci 3000psi tank that would be normal. This is just a guess I really have no idea, but it make sense

Thats normal. That tank is small, and that gun is a gas pig.

jeremy, the Cyclone runs off air, but it's waste air. Therefore it dosent use any more gas than if it didnt have the Cyclone Feed.

ya thats totally normal if you have an a5 you should be getting about 500 shots per tank

i have an a5 also. thanks for letting me know the cyclone feed works on waste air.

i believe its normal for a tank of that size to give you that number of shots. i have a 72/3000 and im estimating i can shoot around 700-800 rounds give or take.

That might be the understatement of the week lol
Nah but I do thoroughly understand how you feel/felt. When i had an A-5 I had to use an 88/4500 tank just to get off a decent amount of shots before I needed to refill.

thanks guys, yeah im looking to upgrade to a bigger tank but theres only one place around me that fills up (scuba shop) and they can only go up to 3700, so i dont know what to do, a 4500 would be pointless.

Yeah youre pretty much just going to have to deal with it.

Unless you go back to CO2..you get more shots for an equivalent sized tank.
