You are promoting a PERSONAL website without the express consent of PBNation, Any more promotion of your website in the audio thread or ANY thread without first obtaining permissions from PBNation will be deleted. Please remove all links from your signatures(including ANYONE else you may be partnering with that also has the link in their signature)
What you are doing is considered commercial spam and can lead to a perm ban from PBNation for any and all of your PBNation names.
Ok, but that didnt answer my question, how come links to Sonic(which is by far the biggest retailer for stereo equipment isnt considered commerical spam? Is it because no one here is affiliated with that company? So me and gstrendkill being able to sell the same items, for LESS, isnt a help to the audio community and needs to be stopped?
We take commercial spam very seriously. Please do not use PbNation for any sort of free advertising unless it is specifically allowed in the rules stuck to the top of the forum. If you have a question about if something is allowed, post in our Talk to Mods Forum at the bottom of the home page, search the FAQ or even ask John direct by emailing
john@pbnation.com.
A link in my sig to an offsite ecommerce site is considered free advertising now? Please, send this to everyone who has a link to a company they are represented by or affiliated with(this would include sponsored players also)
As tempting as it may be, posting about your product in answer to "What xxxx should I buy?" is often considered corporate spam. Feel free to correct mistakes, but people are looking for independent feedback when they post questions like that on the site.
I dont think we have ever directly linked anyone to anything on our website. People PM me almost DAILY asking for audio products because they know I can beat almost anyones prices.
As a general rule, do not post the same thing multiple times even in multiple forums. If you want to draw attention to the topic then add it to your signature.
I thought the whole signature thing was covered earlier in this PM?
If a thread or post is removed, do not repost it. First, figure out why it was removed. It may not be appropriate for the site at all.
Again, nothing deleted was re-posted, ever.
For the most part, stay away from posting prices or links to commercial sites unless it is specifically allowed in the particular forum where you are posting.
If this is the case, you guys have ALOT of work to do, because links to commerical sites are posted almost every minute when someone has a problem or doesnt know what product to get.
Do not go into threads asking about competitors products to promote your own products. Stay away from vs. threads as well unless you are correcting a false statement.
We dont make our own products, simply sell other manufactors equipment.
Do not send unsolicited PMs to users.
No one here PM's other users unless asked. Why? Well because thats spam
You may swear on the site if you chose to represent your business that way. Please spell the word correctly and don’t insult other members. The swear filter will censor every single letter. Please do not self-censor. When you do it yourself and only partially censor the word, users can still tell what you meant and that is not allowed.
We also take account fraud very seriously. Say who you are. Never impersonate another user or a regular player for any reason. Never post insinuating you are someone besides yourself. Never use a second account to talk to yourself or solidify your own argument. This will lead to all accounts involved in the account fraud to be permanently banned. If you ever have three accounts banned, you are no longer welcome on the site.
All contests must be approved by PbNation before being posted. Do not post raffles or any type of contest (aside from a paintball tournament where the winner gets prizes) on the site.
The regional sections aren’t designed for manufacturers to post about their business. Paintball fields can and should post there though.
Please take a minute to read our complete Advertising and Business Posting Guidelines in the FAQ. These apply to anyone who is on a team, sponsored, works, owns or wishes to promote a company, product or service on PbNation.
