Alright, well I am trying to set up wordpress so I can put it on my site hosted by godaddy, I ftp'd the files to my website and to the best of my knowledge, I edited the config file correctly, however when I go to the link the readme file provides I get this error:
"Finally, I would suggest not buying into the computer religion too seriously. These are just tools. I've tried dozens of them. I use what I use for pretty specific reasons--and it's always a compromise."
"Open source software only comes in one edition: awesome." - Jeff Atwood

If GoDaddy doesn't have a Click to Install button for Wordpress, then do the following:
Upload the files/folders the way they are, then I believe it will be something like yourdomain.com/wp-install or something. Been a while since I installed a Wordpress onto a site.

Have you ever ordered from GoDaddy before? You need to click "No Thanks" several times before you can actually purchase JUST the domain you want. Otherwise you will fall for paying for multiple years, multiple TLDs for the domain, etc.
I know people who got angry at me because I would tell them it costs less than $10/year for a domain. They go to GoDaddy (since they advertise on TV) and end up spending around $40+ on garbage they do not need.
