What tank output does the Promaster run better on

I thought I would do this poll to see if their is and stats.

USING the STOCK High pressure regulator is a must for this poll.
The Promaster can run on either High or Low pressure output tanks.

Questionoes the stock regulator run better (defind as, consistance in recharge, little or no spiking/creaping) on a LP tank than a HP tank

Crud its not that complicated.... There are regulators that you can adjust so you can change it up or down to suit what ever marker you have. I have two... currently set at 650

It can run both but I usually run HPA because sometimes I get shot drop-off from LP tanks

If you are choosing tanks I would get a HP tank that way if you get a better gun it wont matter as most guns on the market can run HP tanks

I think some of the replies are a little off the mark.

I believe sneak is just trying to get statistics on what people have found running their stock HPR with a HP or LP input pressure. Debating what tank to get because of what works on other markers is irrelevant and has been debated ad nauseum.

650 psi would be considered a medium input pressure. Unfortunately there's no poll option for that.

My thought is the stock HPR performance may vary depending on how closely it was machined to tolerance with some being closer than others.

People here have (and will) argue that either HP or LP is fine. And perhaps in their specific case it is, but more often than not people replace the stock HPR because it performed poorly out of the box or later on.

I know for a fact that on LP my stock HPR worked fine. When it was running on HP it would ping and spike in output pressure. This was with the same tank reg with different LP/HP springing.

The only way to settle the matter would be to collect a bunch of stock regs and do actual tests on them to see the output and recharge with different input pressures.

^ Good comments grimacium.
My sons PM runs on a LP tank and has no problems. My PM running on a HP tank had nothing but problems. I was curious if their where numbers to support this.

Exactly so when you ask for a poll your getting zero... What did or didnt work for someone, might be because of tolerances being off or being very good not just in a reg, but in the marker as a whole. So what worked for one might not work for you. Poll or no poll
I started off using old Macdev conquest regulators very easy to adjust pressures but very hard to swap between markers = Dovetail mount. So I switched to the Ninja regs. Made in the USA by the way! If you have an adjustable tank regulator you can use whats best for YOUR marker not what some twelve year old on pbn thought was best....
