Webcam Driver Open Fail - Help!
I have a Toshiba Satellite m305d laptop with Vista 64bit. that I purchased about a year ago. For some reason after having my motherboard replaced, the webcam will not work. Whenever I go into my Device Manager, there *should* be an Imaging section with the webcam being under that tab, but there isn't even an Imaging section anymore. I've installed the drivers for the camera assistant software from Toshiba's website SEVERAL times, along with uninstalling, rebooting, running CCleaner, rebooting, and installing the drivers again, but to no avail. If anyone has any idea how I could make my webcam work outside of this assistant software, and solely off of a messenger service, that would be great. The only thing I have installed on this laptop is Skype, something I've never used (came with the laptop) and it doesn't even show the webcam on there, which leads me to think Vista isn't picking up the drivers.
Any ideas? Thanks!
