well guess it was to good to be true? eigenram

well this is not really a rant but more of a dissapointment. i ordered a eigenram from lurker last tuesday with hopes of reciveing it on sat. knew it was a long shot but i pm'ed him asking if this was possible... he replied saying that he would make sure that it was mailed that same day.. first class customer service... so i wait the entire week and come sat nothing in the mail box... so i decide to check my e-mail and find out it had just shipped late friday after noon.....

it is now wednesday of the next week and i still dont have the ram.. i needed it for vegas as my other ram "dissapeared"... guess ill be stuck using my slg.

i understand shipping time and what not, but why tell me that he would make sure to ship it out tuesday, if it wasnt going out friday..?

ive always heard of lurker giving A+ service... guess it fell short this time

Monday was a holiday, so that cuts back a day. So its really only been three days thats its been in route to you.

the part that im bothered about tho is that he told me that it would ship out tuesday for sure.. and it wasnt shipped till late friday

I apologize - I'm in New Jersey now, and my brother is shipping from Delaware (where all my stock is)...still, the miscommunication is mine, and I apologize for that - I should have better articulated the situation - I will tell you that what almost certainly happened was a variation of the following:

Me: xxxxxx needs his ram by this weekend
Brother: There is no way it gets there by then, I'll do it so he gets it before the following weekend.

So, the fundamental problem is the assumption that players only play on weekends. Unfortunately, if you're leaving on a Wednesday, this assumption is faulty.

As gamer said, I don't think the service was terrible (2 days "processing", then shipped) but the communication on my part could have been better.

EPIC WIN. i have never bought from lurker before, but this speaks volumes for me if i was to buy in the future. speaking of, i need to see what they offer for my Vice. again, very, very honorable and upstanding actions lurker. much kudos.
