he or she has been making full asking price offers, and then asking for fast ship out of the country. also asked to mark as a "gift". any way to check him out?
People out of the country usually pay full asking price because they know they are about to be a hassle to you when it comes to shipping out of the country.
I always mark all packages I ship out of the country as a "gift" and "used sporting goods"
As long as you get paid up front and make sure the payment clears then you should be ok - however if you ship first NEVER mark anything as a gift as you at that point have no rights to said package and they are free to keep it.
They usually use Gift on it so there is no customs over the boarder fee well thats how it is in canada. Go look in canada thread and look for shipping to canada it will explain it.
Hey there Rookie,
My advice for you is if you would like to sell to this fellow, take his paypal payment and send it to your bank account and wait the 3 days till it clears before shipping, then your covered if he tries anything funny!

Goodluck.

This is good advice!
Also be VERY careful of only watching emails. I have received SEVERAL FAKE emails that were supposed to be from paypal and looked JUST LIKE paypal emails.
This happens a lot of you try to list something in Craigslist... the potential buyer will ask you to ship to Africa or somewhere crazy. They say they have made payment and send you an email. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR ACTUAL PAYPAL ACCOUNT and transfer the actual money before shipping anything.
