Well I'm just now finally getting home after a drunken night. I don't really care if everyone hates the Buckeyes, or if they play horribly. I'm still gonna stand by them and support them. I mean, atleast they won right? That's more than Oklahomo can say. Which reminds me...

Wow, talk about the sky is falling fan huh.

I think you are over reacting. Definitely some problems but it is very possible jefferson just isn't ready for the amount of pass attempts we'd like to see. Jefferson is evaluated daily by crowton so he knows his limits.

The defense looked decent until third down. Me and my brother were already calling it third and chavis. At least in the second half he was letting the secondary play man to man which worked out a lot better.

All in all it is the first game of the season and no team looks polished. It's the teams that improve throughout the season that come out on top.

Observations from the Bama game...

1. Bama's 09 Defense is better than their 08 squad. Much more aggressive.

2. Bama's OL is better than expected. Once they start gelling, look out.

3. Bama's coaches have a ton of confidence in first year starter Greg McElroy. Even after he started 2 of 12, they kept calling pass plays and he finished 15 of 30. Once he realized he could throw to someone other than Jones, he started looking really good.

4. Our front seven is starting to remind me of the monster Ds Saban had at LSU. They're not there yet, but they are starting to take on that look. That's a very good thing.

5. This team knows how to finish. That's something last years team often struggled with as it held on by the hair on their chins for few wins. Instead of holding on late and hopping they could withstand the punishment, they were punishing the other team.

6. Greg McElroy needs to learn to slide and stop running down field and laying down blocks for running backs. Memo to Greg, WE DONT HAVE A PLAN B!!!! You're it buddy. Settle it down.

7. The leaders on D are very young. This can be a bad think in the short run as evidenced by McClain's outburst last night. But it bodes well for the future. I have a feeling McClain will find himself sitting a game or two for pushing that reff.

8. Tiffin still isn't his dad. He's good. But he isn't money. I worry about him in pressure situations.

9. I was surprised we'd put Richardson in the game in such a meaningless way. Why burn the red shirt? Unless they never planned to red shirt him to begin with. But with the way Ingram, Upchurch and Grant are playing... IDK.

10. This season could be VERY VERY good. As the OL develop, the QB settles down, and the D gains some confidence.... This team may surpass last year's and then some.

It's not that I think stupidity should be punishable by death. I just think we should take the warning labels off of everything and let the problem take care of itself.

I don't give a crap. But if I did, you'd be the first person I'd give it to.

You mean you won't lose your BCS bowl game to a Mountain West team this year?

I'm still trying to forget. I just keep reminding myself that we lost two games last year and those two teams finished #1 and #2 in the final polls. And preseason we were expected to win 8 games and won 12 and held the #1 spot for 5 weeks. That helps me sleep at night. That and beating the Barn 36-0.

The first half of that game was awesome. But the second half was a little scary. We almost let them come back.

You don't play on VTs Paintball team do you? I met some of them in 07 at the RiverJam CFOA in Chattanooga.
