Did I just miss the press release or was nothing announced about Taylor, Bean & Whitaker Mortgage Corporation closing it's doors? You guys are more in the loop than I am and look out for these types of things. I received no warning or anything just went to make a house payment today and just found out the company had closed it's doors. At this point I'm not even sure who owns my house note right now. Very frustrating.
Just wondered if you guys had heard something about this.

I don't like BOA's practices. I prefer my credit union... or any credit union for that matter. BUT opinions are like *******s...

I know that much. I was just wondering if any of you guys had heard anything prior to this about the company and why they went belly up.

Seems that way, which really sucks. I spoke with BOA and they don't have any info yet. So much for things running smooth. No damn wonder this country is falling apart.

I just have a hard time agreeing with any of BoA's practices. They seem to snake you out of money every chance they get. USAA has never failed me.

indeed I do, however, we outsource our mortgages and I'm not up to date on these sorts of things. I knew before Temecula Valley Bank was going to go under though since we had an investment with them, but that wasn't a big deal.

USAA (insurance side) has screwed me over. I have a one strike policy with incompetence and companies dealing with my money.

BOA said they would honor my mortgage that I had with my former company. As of right now my loan is in limbo as BOA doesn't have the info yet and my old mortgage company is shut down. It's a wait and see at the moment.

Better bank that payment away for safe keeping. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried something shifty when they finally show up to start collecting.
Yes sir, I plan on doing that. I just got off the phone with a loan officer from my credit union and they don't do a 100% finance so I'm stuck with BOA for the moment. I don't respond well when people screw with my money so this may get interesting before it's over with.
I was joking with a co-worker today about driving to FL and paying a visit to the owners of my old mortgage company. He asked who I was with and it just so happens his mortgage was also with the company. They sent him a bill stating that he had not paid enough in on his insurance to cover his insurance payment. He had no idea that the company had closed. I told him I wouldn't pay anything until he spoke with his new mortgage company. It's just sad that companies don't send out letters letting people know what is going on.
I have a bank of america CC. I can't complain with it. So far they haven't done anything bad or made any mistakes.
