i just wanted to post a thread on peoples thoughts. idk it may just be me but i think it is crazy how a dm6 will sell for only around 300 dollars even though it will shoot just as good if not better than a dm9. ive shot them all and still like the 6 the most. what are your thoughts on this?
Unfortunately it's the way things works with new things
yes the dm6 can shoot just as nice but people will always want to buy the latest and greatest
if you are trying to sell your 6 at a higher price, the buyer probably would look at getting a 7 instead. Wait till the new Dm comes out, people with the 9 will sell theirs cheaeper and the price may flow down as everyone will be thinking of upgrading
Well from the 6 on, there weren't too many changes...
Small stuff like self cleaning eyes, eye pipes, no eye covers, new bolt kits, "different reg", and what have you.
Also, they obviously milled the bodies down/different, so new models are lighter.
So yeah, most models from there up will relatively shoot the same if broken in and tuned properly. And it won't have as much "kick" (paintball wise), since it is a little heavier.
Why do they shoot somewhat the same? Well because why change a good thing? If the M6 shot great, why change that with the 7/8/9?
Why get a DM9 over a DM6/7/8? Well, it does look different, has some of the said features above, and is a bit lighter. But some people just always have to have that new item
As for me I will stick with my SM5. Shoots so smooth.

Welcome to Capitalism. O well, if you like the dm6 then stick with it. They are solid guns. Though I do disagree with some things being said in here about the changes from 6 to 9, to each and their own.
Besides my Sm5, the dm9 is the most comfy dm imo. Most of this has to do with not having an on/off under the barrel. I also loved my dm7.
The DM6 is amazing... no reason to upgrade. Only reason I sold mine is b/c somone offered me 750 for it and I was like HEYELL yea.
holy dooker! was this recently!!? or like 2 years ago?
i adore my 6. i don't plan on ever getting rid of it. the 6 was probly Dye's biggest accomplishment with the UL frame and the sexy milling. tiz a piece of history

I love my dm6, so smooth, so quiet.
It shoots smoother without a hopper weighing it down than a marq with a hopper.

Saying your gun is quieter than an Ego isn't saying much.
DM6s are excellent guns. I would take mine over a DM9 just for the eye covers. The stock feednecks aren't as good though. But that's an easy fix.

I think its funny how the dm7 weighed less than the dm8. I hate the new hyper regs look, imo they make the dm8 and dm9 look cheap. 6 and 7 ftw, UL frame changed Dye guns forever.
