my buddy got a evolution and was a train wreck when he got it had a new evo valve put in and retimed but the gun is still anywhere from 200-280 just wondering where to start first? usual suspects i would assume paint/barrel or hpr/lpr but just wondering whats the most likely culprit before we go messing with anything
paint/barrel, then ivg/reg setting, the springs may be bad also

I can say for certain that if you have a working cocker that shoots just fine you are one of the three, or all of the above. 1- you are not an idiot. 2- you know someone who is not an idiot. 3- you have enough money to pay someone who is not an idiot. - jonotwist:
he actually did replace the spring with a lighter one... gun cycles fine ... prolly should try shooting some oil through it first and get the freak on it with some good paint
is it ok to put oil in the asa and shoot it through? didnt know if it was okay or not with the lpr and hpr prolly being lubed with dow or some other actual lube and not just oil?
^^^Using a snug paint to barrel match is probably the most important thing for consistancy. The Freak should help a lot. Today I stepped up to the chrono with my half-blocked Trilogy Sniper, using my .682 sleeve in my Freak, and here was the readout on the chrono: 289, 289, 289, 290. At which point I went onto the field and proceeded to do what I do best....
it always is those littel things that make you go,
Yeah I knew exactly what was causing the problem though because it was working before I pulled the screw out. Also, do any of you guys use locktite/some sort of adhesive for sealing threads rather than teflon tape? I've always used teflon tape but the previous owner used something that makes it hard as hell to pull off (makes me wonder why anyone would ever use anything other than teflon tape).
