Can you get viruses from Omegle?

Well I'm on Omegle and while I was talking to someone i randomly got this message
Stranger: I'll cyber with you if you complete this for me: (link removed for safety of the nation)
But they where than asking me what the link is. So it's apparant they got the same message as though I was sending it to them.. IDK how this happens, is that a virus on my end? Maybe there end?

I haven't gone to any of the sites that I get in the ads though... until that one, which I just went too to see wtf it was.

Its not a virus, its just a quiz site that they'll likely get paid for by you completing it and putting your info.

**** my avast isn't picking up anything, but every omegle room i go into the people immediately disconnect, so im assuming my computer is spamming them.

I usually just disconect when I get the link ads, IDK how i picked up this virus or whatever it is really.

There's websites that you can enter a shortened URL like that and it will tell you what it is before you go.

Your computer is probably in the final phase of dissemination triggered by the virus. You might want to shutdown your ram and hard-wire the motherboard with explosives.

If he posted a link, it's possible you could get a virus by going to it. But just by using omegle and chatting with people, not going to any outside sites, no you can't get viruses from that
