this is my first cocker. i assumed it was wrong because most electros, have an open breach. it doesnt seem to shoot with eyes on. thats why i turn them off
where would it have eyes? i bought this off ebay cause it looked like a nice gun. the feedneck doesnt have anything that resembles eyes. close to the bolt i think the only thing i see is a ball detent.
so i pull the trigger and it kinda fires, but it seems like it takes 2 trigger pulls to fire a ball. once to load it then again to shoot it. and the shooting is very erratic.
i went to eye set up. heres what i saw....when i clicked on show it would say 255. when i clicked on set it would show 091.
when i pull the cocking rod back and move the bolt back, it moves all the way back. i dont know if it does this when fired becuase it does it so fast.

no eyes are on feednecks. the eye sensor it self will be on the right side of the body [across from the detent] and is covered by an eye cover going vertically and connecting down into the frame. its held in by one screw, unscrew it and pull the sensor out carefully and check to make sure its clean.. wipe it with a q-tip anyway even if its clean.

instead of waiting for the ball to fall right down into the breach, the bolt goes back -into an open position and then the eye will keep it open until it senses a ball, which is why if the eyes aren't detecting anything or malfunctioning the bolt will move slow
If the eyes are malfunctioning put in a new battery and try it then, sometimes cocker e-frames drain batterys over night and work very oddly on a low battery.

When you pull the bolt all the way back does it leave the breach COMPLETELY uncovered? if not then set the cocking rod adjustment back a little untill it does..
so is this a timing issue?

it has no eyes at all? is it drilled for an eye hole or anything on the right side of the body? if it is then i suggest just buying an eye for it.. theres not much timing wise you can do n depending on what board is in the gun..

Its not drilled. So I'm pretty much screwed correct? Unless I drill a hole for eyes? I guess its time to sell this for someone more cocker savy than me.

if you were to get it drilled its usually 15-20 $ depending on who does it.. then an eye can be bought for around the same

just set it up for no eyes. you will need to tinker, but if you get it shooting a respectable 12 bps you shouldnt need to worry about eyes. i turn the eyes off on my karni all the time, as i have it set to 10 bps w/ eyes off. never had a chop. I am even considering turning my black magic into a blind electro.

i always adjust my cockers to be really soft on the ball (ive only had one with a working eye lol) zero out the LPR and turn it up until you get a full cycle. then do a 1/4 to 1/2 turn and it should be soft enough to hit your finger and not bite hardly at all. it will help with the chopping

i wouldn't sell it. Use it as a building block on how to set up markers and properly take care of them. I'd get with someone at your local field and ask them to show how to set up a e-cocker without eyes. I would have installed tho just to make it easier. Cockers are by far the must fun markers out there because you get a true appreciation for the marker cause you set it up. It's kinda like building a bada** hot rod and blowing the doors off imports.
