Greetings fellow paintball players. I have been asked by Gio of Giant Paintball to start the official thread for Decay of Nations III: New World Order.

The purpose of this thread is to give updated information about this event, answer any questions about this event and even hear suggestions by you, the players. Your questions would be answered by the staff at Giant Paintball, either by Gio, Meme, David or any of the Giant Paintball staff.

Please, this is an informational thread and Giant will do everything that they can to make Decay of Nations at SC Village, the premier West Coast event for years to come.

Decay of Nations III

Ten years after the terrible loss the UNA suffered against Ekron over the use of fossil fuels, UNA is back to its practice of green technology. While Ekron is slowly using the last of its precious fossil fuel and limited food supply UNA is using their technology to make battery operated vehicles, eliminating the need for oil and thus cutting themselves off from Ekron entirely. This plan will ensure the UNA power in the New World Order.

The old Ekron Generals and Leaders are dying off or losing power, and new Generals are being elected or promoted in their place. The new leader of the Ekron force has a different view on the war and wants the peace and promises that were not guaranteed with their success in the last war. He is hoping to barter with the UNA to be a part of their new green technology movement and more importantly, to be able to take food for his starving people.

But the UNA is not as it was. The new Leader is corrupted and greedy, having found the source of the new green technology he feels the need to keep it to himself and his country. Also, feeling the embarrassment of their loss ten years ago, he is exacting his revenge on Ekron by hording the world’s food supplies for himself with the help of his new UNA army and various allies he has bribed or threatened into submission.

Will the new corrupt UNA be able to keep their hold on the worlds food supply? Or will Ekron find a way to rise up and take back what belongs to them? Only you can help decide the outcome of this war!

Cease fire at 7:00 – 9:00pm
Night Conflict (jungle play) 9:00pm (Saturday) until last man standing

Registration for new players at 7:00am
Morning briefing for new personnel 9:30am
Fight resumes at 10:30am
Call for final battle at 2:00pm to 2:30pm

Rules for vehicle: What is a vehicle?
A vehicle is a motorized or un-motorized (human powered) contraption that no faster then 5miles per hour. A motorized or un-motorized vehicle must participate in the scenario event.

HAND HELD PROPS
1st place – Membership
Rules for hand held props: What is a hand held prop?
A hand held prop can be anything that can be operated by hand. Examples of a hand held may include RPG’s, bazookas, mortars, nuke bombs, night vision, and any other CIA or MI6 toys, NO smoke grenades ate permitted. Must be authorized for use!

Rules for costumes:
Players must be dresses in costume for their respective armies:
A UNA costume can be a North American solider, Canadian Mounties, or a Mexican solider.
Ekron costumes can be a Warmongering Oil Executive, a Texan CEO, Arabian Prince, or a $1,000 silk suit.

The Generals for the two armies in Decay of Nations III: New World Order have been selected!

The General for the Ekron Army will be Pogo NTC (Not The Clown) and his XO will be LJ Marcus

The General for the UNA Army will Damian from TAW Paintball Productions and his XO is TBA.

Dennis of Giant Paintball will be the Game Director for this event.

Story line and supporting roles will follow as they are made available.

so what paintball team are these guys from? i always liked contact the general and xo prior to the event to introduce myself and my small band of grunts. how can i contact them. do they have a website like socal ghosts and knuckledaggerz.

Pogo NTC is not on any team and LJ used to be on Caltrop Guerillas (which sad to say is no more ).

Right now there is a discussion on which side to be on and it's too early to tell.

I will see about getting contact information on at least the Generals for each side so that players can contact them.

the night game will take place in the jungle area, not in the upper fields like last year.

the Cyborgs are not returning

I have not heard any rumors in raising paint prices but, I think if you pre-reg you actually get a paint discount. I remember getting a phone call saying so. Maybe if someone from Giant (Meme, David, Mario or even Gio) could answer that question.

i got the same call but I need a confirmation on that. The dude on the phone said if i pre reg before the end of july i would get the paint discount. Is that true? is the price that is on the reg application the the discount price or does change after when i checkout?

the paint rise rumor i heard at the scvillage from some of the staff last sat.

SC Village is looking for volunteers to help assist us for the upcoming Decay of Nations III, held at the World Famous SC Village August 22-23, 2009.

We need assistance in setting up and cleaning up. We also need volunteer refs, people to run missions and insertions as well as other duties as they come up. If you work one shift (approx 6hrs) your entry for the scenario will be waived. SHOW YOUR SUPPORT AND HELP MAKE DON III THE BEST ONE YET!!!

ok i already registered i bought one weekend entry and one box of mid grade paint. i was told by a scvillage employee by phone call. they called me. and have been calling me every 2 weeks for the last 2 months to pre reg for don3. i was told that that to get a pre reg discount i needed to reg by aug 16. but if i wanted to get a paintballs discount i need to reg by END OF JULY.(gadget can back me up on this he got the same call) what gives.now within the last week its changed to july 26. i see no discount for paint. it was 42 bucks for mid grade. if that is the discount how much will it be the day of the event. i dont understand and i cant get a clear definite answer as of yet help scvillage staff what gives.

In regards to the paint prices, I don't have an answer to that. However, I have talked to David at HSP and he is trying his best to get the answer for the paint prices.

Only thing about the Pre-Reg date on the flyers, there were 2 printings of the flyers, one a single flyer that is double sided and the other is a 4 fold flyer. I've been told that the 4 fold flyer has the error.

I'm sure that hopefully someone from giant will see this and give better clarification. lol

i was reading the schedule and notice there is NO BLOODBATH what happen? also why is the battle starting so late 1130am? it looks like the battlefield time is way less than the last 2 DON'S. i am not complaining just a little concerned.
