Paintball Sightings!!

I saw some mac-gyver looking show (not sure if it was a show or movie) (oh, and it WASNT macgyver) but some guy had all his gadjets out, and his friend came over. the macgyver guy was fixing something, and his friend picked up an autococker. the macgyver guy was like "hey, be careful, I just loaded it up with those gasoline balls i made".
so his freind took a few shots. I didnt watch long enough to see if they used it later...

On Chucky 3, they play some paintball-type game, without goggles, and using real rifles.

I've seen paintball on blind date twice.

King of the hill (the teenagers were the voices of green day)

I used to see paintball on ESPN rarley. (like, 4 years ago)

I was watching a show about Swat Teams and they were wearing Spectras. Thats about it though.

LOL, on the mask subject, my sis was watching the britney spears concert on HBO, and for one of the songs they were wearing flex IZE's hehe.

Baywatch- a whole game
Spy kids the movie
Fear Factor- shooting at the other guy on a traget while being
catapulted in the air (used a sweet STo w/ boomer,
warp feed, nitro, etc.)
Hollow Man- They use PGPs as some super gun or something

On the show "Max Bickford" on CBS, they had a paintball spot that was filmed at my local field. Me, my teammate, and a friend from GZ Gold were on the set to make sure all safety guidelines were followed from keeping the actors/actresses goggles on to making sure they put their barrel plugs in the gun. My teammate even got to cameo as a ref in the background, me and my friend though were just alternates

ahh well, it looked great on tv.

Also, while I was at practice, a Japanese photographer came by to take pics for his magazine. He took a couplf of pics of me and some other players in action. The magazine basically covered american jobs ranging from a Hockey coach to a UPS deliveryman to paintball. The photos came out great and even though I only got 1 pic in there it took up half the page. Not too shabby. Now if only I can get someone to translate the article...

As for locally, me and my teammate got our pics in the local newspaper. Basically, the article was about the field that recently opened.

And finally, last week the show "Change of Heart" filmed at the field. Not sure if they'll actually show footage on the show but the camera dudes were constantly on my teammates who were alreay there for practice.

I think that's about it. For now anyway...

Tony Hawks gigantic skateboard park tour stopped at Challenge Park Extreme in Chicago and everybody on the tour played paintball.
It was on ESPN2 today

I dont know how many people saw it but it was pretty cool

That was pretty cool. It was funny hearing Tony Hawk complain about getting shot in the head. Also watching that guy get lit up as he walked through the door was hilarious.

My local store used to run spots on a local station and sponsored the 4:20 smoke break on that station before they switched formats.

They used the PGP's in Hollow man as a tranquilizer gun. They also use a Paintgun (cocker or PGP can't remember) in a Jackie Chan movie to shoot a tracking device on the back of a car.

We also had a camera man come out to a local tournie and a rec game to shoot a segment for a show on PBS last year. We actually convinced him to eat a paintball on camera his reaction to that and getting shot unexpectedly was pretty funny.

And what's funny about running down the field an pulling the flag in 30 secs? I've played at Blast Factory and we've pulled the flag pretty quickly several times. Points is points in 5 man. Although I haven't seen they're commercial to fully understand.
