ok, what really happened was the referee that was in the coaches box that was in charge of calling in the towel tosses to make sure that they got called in quickly had gotten a lot of splatter on his goggles because the paint was hitting the pole in front of where he was sitting so he couldnt see and heard someone yelling towel towel towel ****** towel so he called in towel but no one had thrown it. the kid felt bad the rest of the tournament and almost didnt do it the next day if it wasnt for reassurances from his fellow referees

bottom line,

just like you players, the reffs do sometimes make a mistake, and honestly the ration of player to reff mistakes is much higher then reff to player mistakes. players try to pull so much stuff its not funny, most the reffs can walk right thru streams of paint and not get hit* i've seen it and done it*


but regardless what the out come was, it's still just a game. and yes we do feel bad when we make mistakes, but even when we do make mistakes or one is caught it is our job to #1 not to ever change our call's* thats the ultimates call, and most th time they wont over turn a call either**
#2 to not let you know we made a mistake * just like if you get creamed in the head, do you say " oh that was my fault i left my head out to long or i made i completly retardd move!" NO..... lol

oh yeah that reff was about to qiut becuz of that mistake, i was the one that convinced him to go back out there and just try harder, and not let anyone intimidate him....not a pro, a spectator, or for that matter rosie or lane * although we do respect them**
