Im not familiar with this particular tank, but if the reg exploded, is it the kind that uses two burst disks? One 7.5k and a 1.8 or 3 k. If you did something stupid like put two 7.5s in your reg and it stopped regulating, that **** would blow. If the tank itself didnt blow, why does the hydrotest matter?

First of all I had said that it was more or less rumored that it was out of date. Kimo thanks for the prop I was just yelling out of instinc. I was the ref that came over to you and said,"Tell me you got that on film" Glad you True Color boys are all safe and sound. See y'all in HB I hope.

The regulator was not touched at all. I never took it apart. It looked like a piece of steel connecting the regulator and tank blew apart. The only thing left on my gun was the top neck that screws in and some burst disks. This was obviously a manufacturers error since I never dissasembled the tank. I'm just glad it shot straight up and came down on the field, not in the stands. Hollywood, thanks for screaming out heads up, I just thought my macro blew at first until you said heads and I looked up and saw my tanlk 300 feet in the air. Dave Zingham of the NPPL is supposedly handling this issue and going after Nitro Duck. Does anyone have pictures of the tank? I would like to get some. Please PM me if you do.

I'm not sure, all I know is that it was a 68/4500 x stream adjustable.

It was prob. the bottle at the air station, it landed 30 feet from the bawls bunker on the opposite side of the field.

i saw it... i was walking to the jt field to watch dynasty and the naughty dogs play and the freaking thing shot like 100 feet in the air.. it was damn awesome

Obviously there is a legal issue that will be happening. Untill then I will not post the pics of the tank and reg on the gun until this is situated. I do not want to open myself up to being sued. I know the guys involved and will be available to them for their protection.

You wouldn't be allowed to post a picture of something that happened at a Public event? It's not like you sign a contract for everyone that you take a pic of.

How the heck can you be sued? Granted, I'm no lawyer, but it's an event that happened at a public event and you shouldn't have to hide photographic evidence of it. It *should* be on public record and people *should* know about this. Facts are much better than rumors and there's no way an undoctored photograph can lie.

Tacobell- I would much like to see the pics, if you don't want to post them, that is fine, but my parents and a lot of other people would like to see these pictures. We have no intent of suing you, I don't see why you are scared of that, it was a public event. Is it Jon Patterson you want to PM you? If so that can be done. I don't understand your comment if you don't know what your doing don't do it. The reg blew apart, I did not touch anything, the steel inside broke, far from my fault indeed. Unless my fault is screwing a tank on a gun?

You have strange laws. Posting a pic could be prohibited. You wont hear such things here.

Because its everybodys thing to see the pics for safety reasons.

You know the slogan: Safety first. So its good for showing if something with high pressure is going wrong what could happened.

If you have any problems censor the people with black signs over their eyes or the Date on the Bottle. So you dont have any problems and we could see whats going on.
