Did anyone see the air tank shoot about a hundred feet into the air from the NPPL field. i guess one of the players (not sure what team) crossfire tank reg snapped in half and the tank shot straight into the air. He was holding the gun by the grip pointing down. He said he **** his pants when it happened.

yup i saw it! at first i thought someone just broke a hose, but i looked up and i saw what i thought was a balloon flying around! i just saw the black tank fly and hit the ground! then i saw the kid running his gun (tankless) to get a new tank. man that was crazy. good thing no one got hurt!

I was walking away from the field and heard it go off. I didn't see it but I definitely heard it. Glad nobody was hurt.

I was on the field when it happend! I was letting some air out of the back cube when I heard this loud hissing noise I thought the bunker ruptered. Then I looked up and saw this tank go shooting straight up in the air about 150 feet. I was yelling "Head's up..Head's Up" and people were running everywhere. The Tank took of from behind the statr box and landed near the other teams 20. For the record it was a Nitro Duck tank. The guys from Crossife came running over to the field in like 30 seconds wanting to know if it was one of their tanks. From what I h eard the tank was expired by almost 2 years. So fellas,hydro test your tanks when the time comes.

This is why I don't like tank covers ... no one ever checks dates at the fields now.

wow, u know how much **** nppl would be in if it hurt somebody, b/c they r supposed to check the hydro date of each tank b4 they fill it, and once they see its a valid date they give it a little zip tie thingy. so if someone got hurt, it would be all nppls fault for neglegence.

Saw it too... I was heading over to see another game... I heard what sounded like a line bursting and I looked over to see what team was down a marker. I heard them all saying "head's up!!!" and I saw the tank rocketing up in the air... must have had like 8-10 second's air time! It's a damn good thing that it didn't come down in the vendor area... which was pretty packed at that time!

i didnt see it or hear it, i was prob in the venders area trying to buy a baboon head band. i prob didnt hear it cuz that gay *** music they were playing at the stage

That's a stûpid comment dude.
The lesson was learned, and lucky for all paintball players around the U.S. that no one got hurt.

You know there are many groups out there trying to get paintball banned. If anyone ever got seriously injured or even died because of a paintball incident, then that would give more fuel for the paintball haters.

Just to clarify, and take care of all the rumors... I was on the team that it happened too, True Colors, and the tank was a nitro dunk and it was hydrotested and leagal. It was an adjustable screw in and it just when he was standing there the reg just exploded and all the 4500 psi sent the tank at least 200 ft. The NPPL confiscated it and are taking care of the issue.

I was in the NPPL bleachers when it happened, scary as hell i saw it go off the gun. There was at least 20 people washing and cleaning the field. There was a guy with a leaf blower and it landed 10 feet from him. CRAZY

I saw two photographers take pictures of it but i cant find them anywere.

what day did it happen and was it during the morning or evening stretch of games? I must have been out getting food or back at the hotel when this happend...
