Well liking my impulse so far but the trigger is definitely messed up. The pre travel trigger adjustment screw seems stripped or really loose. I'll adjust the trigger to a longer pull and after a few pulls it will get shorter and shorter. Any ideas on how to stop this? Was thinking about using some lock right to keep it in place.

Anyone have any ideas where I could get a new one?

Contact Kee and just ask for a new trigger assembly. If it's that loose, it sounds like the threads are just a little off and/or the hole was drilled too big. In the mean time, LocTite it.

Well, I sold my G6R and Insight (sad day) because it just doesn't make sense to have $1200 worth of high end paintball markers when I prefer using my Impulse. That money is all going to a pair of axles I'm building for my Jeep so it's all good.

What's up with you guys? It's 17* here, snow on the ground, ice everywhere....and my Jeep is down until I get these axles done. Bummer.

Shot the impulse last weekend. Was great but I still hate that stock barrel. So many breaks. Switching to the trusty freak.

The stock, overly large bore barrel was breaking paint? That's odd.

But yeah, not really a fan of the stock barrel. Lurker is where it's at.

Yes.....I break a lot of paint with it ...always have. Maybe mine is just scrappy. The gun rocks though.

All barrel breaks? Definitely time to use another barrel if so. There's nothing worse than breaking paint.

Speaking of that, I have yet to chop a ball in my Impulse.

All in barrel. Never chopped with the gun either.

Just joined this little corner of PbN. And judging by the reputation of the Impulse, I think I'm gonna be sticking around for awhile.

So what's this problem with inconsistency in semi? Do you guys mean it's sometimes hard to shoot a solid stream of paint? I never use ramping, only semi capped at like 17 or so. I really hope mine doesn't have this issue, it might be a deal-breaker for me..

You sure it's not just bad paint. Shot some marbalizer the other week and it was breaking in everyone's marker. Nobody went a game wit out barrel breaks. Just a bad batch.

Don't worry about that, it's a non-issue.

Sexy! Yeah man, I check in every now and then. Haven't thought about paintball too much lately though.

Here's a shot of mine from out last run out on Turkey day weekend:

Not bad for stock geometry suspension. Have done a good bit of work recently though. New front and rear suspension. New wheels and tires.

Us IFS guys always drool over straight axle porn... maybe one day.

Nice man, I see we run the same tires.....love your Yota, I'd love to build one one day. I'm swapping JK Rubicon 44's under my TJ and finished up the steering linkage and track bar a couple days ago. It came out exactly as I envisioned....equal-length track bar and drag link and they are parallel down to a tenth of a degree. That's about as perfect as you can get so I'm very happy it worked out. This thing is gonna drive MONEY.

Yes, I LOVE the MT/R's so far. I put them on just in time for the run, so it was a complete shakedown of all the work I had done and they did not disappoint. I appreciate it man, yeah I love this truck very much. I've had it for nine years and it's almost at 200K miles and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Still drives like the day I bought it.

Yeah sounds like you nailed the linkages for sure. Since you're itching to build a Yota, you should just come over and perform the SAS on mine lol. Win-win. So you get the itch for wheeling back? I have, to an extent, since paintball wasn't really doing it for me.

So what the hell happened to your Colts tonight man? Oh well, didn't even need T.Y. to win my fantasy championship, woot woot!

Ha, that would definitely be fun.....I'd be glad to give you advice once you get an axle picked out, though. Steering and suspension are definitely one of my favorite hobbies but I take them as serious as I do my job. And yes, this project has definitely rejuvenated the itch to wheel....and now that I'll have axles that can handle all I can dish out with 37's, I'm really looking forward to it.

As for the Colts.....that was ugly. They looked terrible in all facets. Fortunately they're in the playoffs due to the crap division but I'm forecasting a first round loss to Pittsburgh or SD. They're just not a very good team.

I may have to take you up on that advice if and when the time comes. As for axle choices, I've got no idea right now. Part of me just wants to use a Toyota axle, but another wants 44's or maybe even 60's for overkill. We'll see. So you were turning 37's with a Dana 35?

I'll be installing some custom links that I designed on my rear axle over the break. Just some lower links and a panhard, but should be a nice addition to the new rear suspension.

You wanna talk about crap division? My Panthers are leading the NFC South and have a chance to get into the post season with a losing record lol. I think the Colts are a really good team. Probably one of the best QB's in football, really good receivers and a strong defense even with Freeney out. Only need to get a good running game since T-Rich was a huge bust.

Sorry for the delayed response....

My Jeep originally came equipped with a D35. About a year in I purchased a TJ Rubicon 44 and it's been through several stages--lots of welding, three different trusses, three different gear sets, etc. In its final stage it had an ARB, JK 4.88 gears (search Karl Jantz and his "Jana" kits) shoehorned into the center section, 35 spline chromolly shafts, and custom brackets and a custom truss to mate up with my custom suspension. Aside from some bracket changes it's still in that configuration under a local friend's Jeep.

Finish welded the front axle last night.

Painted the drag link, track bar and shock crossmember

Front upper shock mounts

Crossmember bolted up

Track bar frame mount welded on

As for NFL action, the Panthers defense and run game look tough....good recipe for playoff success. We'll see how the Colts do in Denver.....and I'm assuming you meant Mathis, not Freeney (he's in SD).

Lastly,

Looks great! Looks like that will definitely do work. So it's 3-linked? Checked out the Jana kit. Talk about stuffed!

Yeah, I don't have high hopes for us this round, but I would actually much rather go to Seattle to play rather than Lambeau. We'll see how it goes. Defense has been playing out of their minds, it just depends on which Cam shows up for the majority of the game. But honestly it's tough to believe he's playing as well as he is considering his injuries this year and the magnitude of that wreck.

All the games this weekend should be great. Good luck to you guys. I think y'all have a good chance. Peyton has looked "off" a lot of the season, especially as of late. That TD that luck threw to Moncrief last week was ridiculous. And yes, I meant Mathis. Realized it as soon as I wrote it, but didn't bother fixing it.
