You want to oil all the o-rings on the bolt and hammer. You dont really need to worry about the valve or volumizer o-rings. Dont use too much oil; just enough to completely cover each o-ring with a thin layer, and spread a tiny bit everywhere else on the hammer/bolt.

A couple drops on each o-ring that moves, 5-10 in the ASA (where the tank screws in), and dryfire about 20-30 times. Bam, your marker and reg are completely oiled. Do the dryfiring without the barrel, so you won't have to clean it out afterwards. Oil in the barrel is almost as bad as paint in the barrel.

After playing, clean the gun, then oil. Or, if you don't clean it after playing (bad boy!) then before you play. I wouldn't recommend stroing it for the winter oiled, though.

Whats "stroing?" Anyways, if you dont oil, youll go through o-rings like a hungry fat kid with a bag of potato chips.

Ah... dammit, i cant believe i didnt see that. I think it would be ok to store it for the winter oiled, but when you use it again, wipe off all the old oil and put new oil on.

What do you mean store it for the winter? I play all winter long.

Whoops I made a typo.
If you play all winter then don't bother. (Although I'm sure you still go for longer stretches of time without playing.)
Are the quad cities by Chicago?

Ahh, I didn't think they were because I didn't know of them. I'm right on the Illinois border in NW Indiana, so that's why I asked.
You play outdoors in the winter or indoors? If so where? (The better of the two places around Chicago is Country Club Hills, which isn't very good.)

I only play outdoors, both in the 10 acres of woods behind my house and at the local field called MVP ( www.mvpaintball.com). I've never even played indoors because theres no indoor fields in the area unfortunately.
