Try and shoot in the same direction as everyone else.

Always keep your head up and looking down field. Especially off the break so then you can see where competition is going to. And always talk, continuously talk to your team to know where players are, who's shooting from where and to have a good g count.

It helps if you know what people are calling the bunkers, and what a G count is. Try to get that **** locked down, also a "G count" is how many of the other players are eliminated, which is only useful information, if you know how many there were to begin with O_o

play tight w/o restricting your ability to shoot at the other team.. as stated before TALK a lot even if you don't know the name of the bunker a general description is better than nothing. eyes forward but on a swivel so you don't get tunnel vision (focusing on one person).

keep your head up. you can't be scared to move and shoot. it's fast paced and if you're tucked behind a bunker reloading or hiding, you can't see where the other team has moved. don't worry about getting too far off the break. you can always bump up a bunker after every player you shoot; BUT, do not pack too many people behind the same bunker either. there's nothing worse than having somebody run and hide behind my bunker because they're scared. you'll both get shot and chances are, your team mate won't be very happy.

Instead of always looking to shoot the guy directly in head of you, you should be looking for guys diagonally across field from you.

And just have fun with it

I am surprised nobody said this yet, understand what the numbers commonly called out are. Generally you will hear things like "50 Can" or "Left 30". Think of it like a football field and the center line in the field is the 50 yard line.

That is how it is done around here and is a basic call out that 99% of paintballers will understand if they have played speedball for a while.

Get to your bunker quick and start calling out opposing players. Also, don't get tunnel vision, try to watch the entire field. If you aren't being shot at, you should be moving. And while you move, please keep your gun up! But importantly, have fun!

Keep you head, eyes and gun up. Don't go into "advanced" bunkers like the snake. Learn how to lane (YouTube is you friend). Don't crowd the bunkers. Have fun!

Main thing, don't plan on "kicking ***", just try and watch how it is played, and make sure you are working as part of a team. 5 heroes on a side rarely win.....

I am newbie at speedball too. But best tip i can give is post up the bunkers.

I am use to standing a bit further back from the bunkers and got shot out cuz, i am exposed more then if i was posting/hugging the bunker.

Just don't get nervous, it is just a game.

Keep talking and most important, hearing. A lot of players keep shouting out but forgot to hear from their team mates.

Also, don't hesitate to fire. Fire as much as you can, and keep low when in a bunker.

Not a seasoned player yet, so if I am mistaken just correct me
