I would just put them in your basement or a cool dark place. I personally flip the bags over and gently move the balls around every week just to make sure they stay round; but then again, I usually don't let my paint sit longer than a week or so haha

Still factory packaged? - Cool, dry, low light area. Flip every week.

Not factory packaged? - Same as above plus trill to seal in a container with desiccant packs.

I put mine in a cooler in the basement, and they have lasted me 9 months.

Edit: And I put cardboard on the bottom and sides so they don't get dimpled.

Paintballs should be stored in an airtight container, with Deiseccant packs(like you get in new pairs of shoes) if not in orignal factory packaging. all paint should be stored in a cool, dark, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Leave it in factory packaging as long as is permissable to your use

Edit:

I just used a case of RPS Premium 2 weekends ago that had been stored this way since August 2011, and it shot like I had just opened the box

Since nobody else is going to say it I will. Do NOT put paintballs in the fridge.

The storage temperatures are usually right on the box. Room temperature, keep them sealed air tight but not bound tightly. Rotate them every once in a while and they'll be fine.

Fresh paint can last a long long time if you just keep is sealed and rotate it regularly.

I keep mine in the garage in a cool place. They are inside an old cooler to keep the temp the same. The cooler works well for moving they to the field and keeps the sun off of them. I do keep them in original package. So far has worked really well

The truth is, paintballs are pretty durable. Only moisture will really kill them hard core. Rotating the paint can even get rid of minor dimples if you do it often.

I wrote a thread on this. Take it out of the bag and put your paintballs in an almost airtight tupperwear container. Place 1 tablespoon of rice for every bag of paint.
Using this method I've kept paintballs for months without having to rotate or move them, and when I take them out they shoot like they day they were bought.

I keep mine on top of the freezer. Usually in the open case & in the bag for stability & convenience. Rotating them is a good idea. I find this keeps my paint in great shape for a good amount of time.

I know some paintballs come with silica packets. If you opened up the bag and wanna keep the paint, keep the packets and toss this in the container that you're storing the paint. Silica beads can and will absorb up to 100 times their volume in moisture and water per bead.

Keep them in a generally cool area of your house. Be sure to move them around so they don't dimple.

I like to put them under my bed. I flip the balls every week.

Whatever you do, don't put them in the fridge and make sure that they are out of direct sunlight.
