Severe shootdown with LP?

I've got two tanks, an LP Empire 72/45 and an HP Empire 68/45. My Axe played just finw on LP the other day, but less than two hours after when I went home I had severe shoot down after the first shot. Pretty much one shot then 10 foot shot then just rollouts. However, it does not do this with HP. Both regs are lubed, I tried relubing and replacing the battery and still nada. Time to send my Axe into KEE to get the reg serviced or is it something else?

If it works with one tank and not the other, the problem is probably the tank?

And that's what I thought, but it has zero problem running my Smart Parts Impulse on uncapped semi, which uses a higher pressure than my Axe which even does it on 8bps.

Any other changes made? Before sending it to KEE, maybe change the poppet o-ring.

Maybe 1 size smaller. It's between 013 and 012. You could play around with those o-rings and also try x-rings/quad-rings.

I literally played with it, de-gassed it, threw it in my backseat, then two hours later aired it up and started shooting again. I don't really know how the poppet ring could be the culprit because the pressure past the HPR is the same.

Can you see a difference in the movement of the pressure gauge indicator between the two tanks? If the LP tank is recharging the Axe reg more slowly, your Axe reg may need relubing. A few drops of oil in the ASA might work.

Putting a 600psi gauge on an ASA shows it's outputting ~470psi.

Magic must have intervened because now it's working flawlessly.
