The shape of the trigger guard suggests it's a nummech.

In theory this could be made to fit the axe correct?

The back side of the front grip looks identical to my mini GS. Top black section contains the led light and the bottom is just a black rubber piece with a button toward the top of it. Doesn't quite look like oled I don't think.

How did I miss this thread? i r dumb.

Yes that's indeed a Nummech frame for the GS. I'm the guy that made it! The frame is in testing right now and will be available with some slight improvements in a few weeks/months. The pictures were probably taken by Stygshore's friend who is one of the people testing it out.

Factory GS frames are screaming for a foregrip extender, but it just can't be done due to the new frame layout. So this is basically the only way to get an extended foregrip onto the marker. We're using the same frame layout from the previous Mini and Axe VL frames, so if you're a fan of those ergonomics then this is for you.

IMO the coolest thing about this is that any future OLED upgrade boards will also work in this new frame. I assume any of those future boards will also come with a new touchpad which will work just fine here.

Here's more pictures:

The majority of the "extender" portion is hollowed out from the top. Here you can see the extender bridge board and the "cover" component that goes on top.

Please try to round off the edge where the rear of the frame rolls into the flat near the grip panel a bit. That edge bothers me and is the only reason I don't have one of your frames on my axe. Well... that and the whole volume thing in the tube.

We've done special-modified ones that have more of a round in the past, but it's not typically done for most of the frames. The flat spot is used to conceal the screw head, and it seems more people dislike the the screw digging into their hand. It's byproduct of making the frame's rear spine have a larger round compared to the OEM frames, since more material is cut away, and now the screw head is more exposed.

It's less of an issue with the GS frame, since the screw head is smaller after they moved to the whole "use less allen keys" thing.

Anyway, when the frames are done being machined, the whole area around the snatchgrip and trigger guard needs to be smoothed out. We use a "pressed felt" wheel to do it, which is similar to a buffing wheel except more aggressive (the felt wheel actually removes material). So whenever somebody wants a frame to be more rounded, the same felt wheel does the trick.

It's hard to please everyone, since the snatchgrip is a big point of contention...some people want big vintage-style ones, some people want little tiny ones, so we tried to go in between. Some things can be customized but not everything.

I'm not talking about the snatch area. I'm talking the back of the frame where the web part of your hand fits. Behind the spot where the grips end. The stock axe has an amazing radius and round over right there.

oh that spot. Either way, the same felt wheel does the trick. There's only a SMALL amount of material that can be removed without going "under" the grips, which is why I don't do the production frames that way. Compared to the Nummech frame, the stock frames have a larger radius around the thumb-webbing area because they have more material there; the Nummech frames are thinner as to simulate the hourglass feel as much as possible.

Have we addressed the air volume problem with the Axe VL frames? It seems people are having issues running a lower pressure with that frame.

Can we get a weight diffrence... i love the look.. but the reason i went with the GS instead of the Axe is weight and size... this looks awesome and would love to get one..

YDNA - I might have to hit you up on rounding those radiuses and making things a little smoother when the production ones go out. Any chance Gloss Red will be an option?

What do you mean about volume issues? How did it effect the way the marker shoots?

The integrated lower Air chamber is slightly too small compared to the standard AXE and GS parts resulting in lower velocities ( especially when not underboring or paint matching ). The issue can be resolved by increasing your dwell 1 tick, but this bothers some people.
