V1 - no "sharkfin" loading arm, no battery straps
V2 - no "sharkfin" loading arm, added battery straps(to keep batteries from coming loose during play)
V3 - Added "sharkfin" loading arm(to prevent breaking paint when reversing loading arm in the case of a jam, if I understand correctly) and battery straps.

So essentially, it doesn't really matter. V1's are pretty tough to find these days, and the shark fin basically doesn't do anything, jams are still impossible to clear.

Any rotor that is working well is one worth getting, regardless of version.

Eh, I don't know about that. Whenever my Rotor jams, the shark fin does clear it up. Albeit 2-3 pulls and a little shaking are required to convince it....

Try the washer/oring mod on your sharkfin...they have a bit of up and down play...keeps the sharkfin in place at the bottom of the feed tray and from my knowledge all but eliminates any jamming issues all together...

I cannot wait for my Rotor to jam so I can try this.

Ion: takes a half hour to do easy maintenance and there is a 50% chance it will leak once reassembled.
