I bought this marker used and it was in great condition and I have never had an issue with it. The bolt did have some slight paper thin scratches on it from the spring however it was never anything major. I played last week and it was about 90 degrees with high humidity and it was indoor with very poor ventilation. I went to clean out and lube my marker and I noticed a rectangular strip missing from the bolt with some slight metal shavings on the spring. The gun performed fine while I was playing and I did not notice anything unusual until I went to clean out the gun. Is my bolt damaged? Should it be replaced? I have been using eclipse grease to lube my gun and I always clean and lube it after every use.
I've got nearly 20 cases through my Axe with stock bolt and it looks nearly brand new, as does the breach. I'm not sure what could have caused that. Was the spring in correctly? Did any sand or other debris get in your marker? Is one of the detents binding? Just some thoughts.
Worn out spring(doesnt seem likely)? Inspect the spring from a vertical angle and see if altered or scew? Perhaps your outer orings on the bolt are not set even? Or the front oring is not correctly causinf the bolt to favor one side?? Thats an interesting scratch. Good luck
I would check the last coil on the spring and make sure its not a hair tighter circle than the rest of it. Run your finger inside the end of the spring and see if you can feel the end poking in a little.
