Dow 33. I use it in everything.

Dow 33 is fine for everything other than the striker/hammer. You should use a paintball marker oil lube for the striker/hammer. Grease type lubes are too thick for use on that particular o-ring.

I've used it on everything. haven't had any problems. I don't lay it on like icing, a thin layer has worked for me in all my Azodin's. Azodin's lube is almost like dow 33, actually might be slightly heavier.

Good info. How often do you lube up your gun? Once or twice a season?

It depends on how often you play. Some, like Moose and myself, tend to clean and lube after every day of play. Others may lube just the most dynamic parts (think striker/hammer and bolt - if it has O-rings) after every day or every other day of play. Then there are some who don't take care of their marker at all and end up running into issues down the road.

In general, I would think lubing the entire marker after every 5-8 cases would be good. Might want to lube the striker/hammer more often though. When going through your marker more often, you can spot and address any possibly issues that may be developing rather than having to face the problem when something breaks and the marker no longer works.

In my blow backs I lube the hammer every couple of trips to the field. Regs once a year. Everything else is lubed if I have problems.

Maybe not. It depends on how much you are shooting. The marker regulator(s) tend to be OK on longer maintenance cycles but it is the parts that are moving all the time that need more TLC more often.

I do the same thing, after ever day of play I sit down with my son and we break everything down to clean and lube as needed. I feel that it is a great way to catch any potential problems before they get out of hand.

I use oil for the striker o-rings and dow 33 for the reg o-rings to create a solid seal. It depends on the marker when it comes to the bolt.

Do you guys ever think of just using the planet eclipse grease? I mean its a reliable company so wouldnt you think that it would work on any gun? Just curious

Is comes down to preference and performance. That's like saying everyone should use a Ford engine in their car because they are a big, well known company.

I have over 21 markers and I use 4 different makers of grease lube and 1 oil lube - sometimes even different lubes on the same marker (different locations). There really is no "one size fits all" lube. If the PE lube is sufficient enough for you, by all means use it.

This is so true... Dow here, with a little grease there makes a world of a difference.
