2002 dye reflex

Hey guys I'm thinking about picking up a dye reflex cocker. What are your thoughts on this?

They've got a proprietary bolt design that's a little hard to work around, and the stock bolt leaves a lot to be desired.

The front block components are pretty much junk as well.

Everything else is pretty nice. Neat trigger frames, and comfortable shooters.

Ok, what upgrades would you put on them. I have a 04 prostock pump, but have little experience with mechanical. Any advice would be helpful, or recommendation of another autococker.

In my opinion, one of the more craptacular Cockers made. Plenty of other choices to choose from on the secondhand market.

This is true.

Instead of getting a reflex, get a karnivor. Imo they are the best looking cockers ever (besides Boston twisters) also if you don't like the eblade, sell it and buy a mech frame along with a 3 way...

Yeah a karni is on the to buy list. I would like to get a mech first though and may consider a mech karni. I have the pump prostock and may consider getting a mech one instead. Any other suggestions on a mech cocker?

I have a mech 2k3 Prostock and I love it, shoots like a champ. I didn't use it for about 7 years so it just sat in my closet. Picked it up about 6 weeks ago and hit the field. Hardly a hiccup even after that kind of hiatus. I don't have much experience in other cockers but I know I love mine. I get comments on it all the time at the field.

Yeah I like my pump so I may just pick up another prostock and it'll save some money.
