Spire vs rotor vs speed - what for a z2 backup?

I already have a z2 and found out quickly after taking a shot inside the shell that ill need another hopper. I have almost had my mind set on the pinokio speed but want some input before i dive in. Ill buy used on any of them so price wont be a factor. Thanks

Holds about 180-190 balls. You can get a nose cone for it too.

I've heard you can use the cone on the speed. I'd give one a shot. They're impressive. Good price too.

Not much of a good reason there.

There are no nose cones for the pinokio speed. They are great hoppers but you can't count on a ball being there ready to feed (not constant force even via paddle tension)

Light weight and can't jam but the forward feed cup sucks.

If you gotta have two you might as well have two Z2's for the price i think they are the best by a long shot.

I can't say that the Spire is the end all, but damn it's a good try to do just that! I've used about everything minus the Z2 and the Pulse RDR (not counting the Gear...it just came out)...the Spire was spot on out of the box for me...it looks amazing, sat perfect on my LV1, and has a nice low profile. Maintenance is so easy it's just ridiculous...my rotor was slick...this is easier...and that's saying a lot because the rotor is super easy to take apart and clean.
Onto performance...here's where loaders always seem to let me down (minus my trusty little Empire B)...the loader was spot on all day long on my first trial run...not a burp out of it...just nice streams of paint as fast as I needed them throughout the day...I couldn't have walked away happier! Now here's to consistency...hopefully that doesn't faulter. I have high hopes though. Just a beautiful, reliable, amazing feeling little loader...I was highly skeptical at first...but that's quickly turning to brand loyalty! I say try the spire...you already have a slick Z2...if the Spire doesn't live up to your expectations trade for a Z2 + cash...shouldn't be hard. Good luck...hope that helps some in your decision making!

I hate rotors with a passion...I had a z2 and I LOVED the way it fed however I didn't like how flimsy it felt so I bought a spire. I love the spire and everything about it. In a perfect world I would have a z2 feed system in the spire body. So I would say either buy a spire or just buy a second z2. I do think you will like the spire tho.

I have a spire and love it, but the price new is too high imo.

I got one used for 90$ w/ speedfeed and have used it for 3-4 weekends now, no problems or jams. My halo too is now my backup.

Looks the best too, lets be honest looks are importanttoo in paintball.

Rotor. Simple on/off (no programming is a good thing!). Simple dis-assembly for cleaning. Batteries last a year. Rock solid. My oldest one I have had for three years, before me it had at least two other owners. It has only jammed once, and that paintball was so malformed it would not have rolled through a paper towel roll.

The only negative is the capacity, and hell, I could solve that if I was not too lazy and/or cheap to buy the high cap shell.

Even then it's super easy to get paint into as long as it's low or out, unlike fighting the Spire...
