Ion Board and Trigger in Extcy

Will the Ion board and Trigger work in an Extcy body and frame?

No the board is completely different, the microswitch is actuated behind the trigger on Ion\Ion XEs and the board sits in a grove in the triggerframe
On the Extcy the microswitch is actuated above the trigger and the board is mounted to the solenoid&firing can
You may be able to put the Extcy body&firing assembly on the Ion\Ion XE triggerframe but I'm not positive. The only major difference is how the regulator is mounted
If you'd like some measurements on any Ion parts hit me up

The easiest way to do this would be to use the Extcy body and firing can on the Ion frame with the Ion trigger and board. That will work just fine but trying to fit an Ion board in an Extcy frame would require filing grooves for the board to sit in and even then I'm not sure that there wouldn't be something else in the way.

Thank you for chiming in Rogue. Will the Extcy wired eyes work with the older Ion board?

Should work, although you may need to swap to macro if the stainless steel line isn't long enough. I'm not sure if there's any difference in reg to grip spacing between the two frames. I don't think there is, but I'm not positive.

Thank you guys. Project Extcy Ion is underway. I have my frame, blackheart, banjo's, and qev on the way. Now all I need is a spring trigger and a used Extcy and we shall see what we can see.

I grabbed the banjo's and qev because I was not sure if the extcy hoses and banjo's would work with the ion board. I am excited to see how this turns out.

Will do. I am trying to locate a cheap extcy, its been a challenge. Ironically I sold both mine a few months ago before I came up with this idea I have a CP spring trigger in the mail but I think I am gunna order the Critical magnet trigger too since it has repelling magnets like the Axe.

Ok guys. Here it is. The finished product!

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resi...nt=video%2cmp4

It is working great! I am not too happy with the Blackheart board, think im gunna find a virtue instead as you cannot adjust the rate of fire on the blackeart. Upgrades are QEV, Trinity Bolt, Blackheart Board, Extcy body, Reg. and ASA.

The Ion frame weighs a bit more than that of the Extcy. The weight with barrel and battery comes in at 2lbs 9oz. That is 3oz heavier than an Axe! Still doable though

i did this with the extcy and enmey. I liked the low extcy body tube and feedneck (q-lock) but needed to get rid of a gun. So i parted my beloved extcy and created my eXTENEMy. Has extcy body tube, Q-lock feedneck, extcy feedneck, L6 bolt, and extcy grips. This makes for a lighter, lower profile eNMEy with better detents. Very happy with that project. Lmk if you want pics/video. I'd be happy to share
