Eyes or board issue?

So I'm still working on this Lasoya promaster here. I've noticed a funny thing. If I go into the board programming mode and set the dip switches for PDS ON.....it will work one time. Once I turn the gun off and on again, the PDS will no longer work.

Is this an issue anyone has has before? It's almost like my settings aren't being saved.

What are your exact switch settings? eg. on-on-off-off

It could be a dipswitch is bad or you have a short/bad connection somewhere on the board. Does everything look good visually?

Yes, everything looks ok visually. I can enter the programming mode, enter the new value, it's accepted. Then change my dips switches to the user defined firing mode(without turning the gun off) and the eyes will work. They'll only work until I turn the gun off. Once I turn the gun off and back on again, the eyes return to eyes off mode.

The crazy thing is the eyes would work normally when I first got the gun. I turned them off so I could test fire it indoors. Now they won't go back they way they were.

The user defined firing mode on my manual says on off off off, that's where I have it set. The eyes won't work in any other mode either.

For turning PDS on my dips are OFF on OFF on one trigger pull for PDS on.

I've noticed another quirk. When I go into the eye delay register, I can't set my eye delay any higher than 7ms with the trigger. Once I hit the trigger 7 times the board flashes and keeps 7ms as the value. If I just don't enter any programming at all, it will set itself to 15ms automatically, no matter what I may have set it at before. It should keep whichever value was input last but it doesn't. Which worked out in my favour this time because 7ms is way too low. Still weird though.

Best thing to do is to replace it with a Kila board. If ICD were atill around, you could have the board reflashed or replaced. Now, its better to replace it with a new direct replacement. Though you could see if Kila could/would reflash it, as they developed the board for ICD originally.

Well that's the option I gave the owner of the gun. I doubt it will happen since the cost of the board is more than the value of the gun anyway. He should be able to run without eyes decently, using a good hopper.

I think you need to turn the marker off immediately after you set the setting.

From the manual:

Program setting:
1. Turn marker OFF.
2. Set dip switches to desired setting. (Ex. Debounce=off, off, on, off)
3. While marker is off, pull and hold down the trigger.
4. turn on marker then release trigger.
5. LED will flash the settings current value. (Ex. If debounce is 8ms then the LED will flash 8 times.)
6. LED will stay off for 2 seconds and then turn on and stay on.
7. Now slowly pull the trigger the desired number of times to enter the setting. Each time you pull the trigger the LED will momentarily go out to show recognition of the trigger pull. (Ex. If you want the debounce set to 10ms then slowly pull the trigger 10 times.)
8. After a few seconds of inactivity the LED will go out.
9. The LED will now flash the settings new value.
10. Turn the marker OFF.
11. Next you can use the above Check settings procedure to verify that your setting was saved. Entering an invalid value for a setting will cause that setting to revert back to the factory default.
12. Set the dip switches to the desired mode of operation. Semi only, user defined, or PSP.
13. Marker is ready to use when power switch is turned on.

I've tried that. Still doesn't work. Like I said, there are other issues with the programming as well. I think it's just messed up to be honest.
