Poppet List?

Is there any way to view a list of all of the different poppet valve markers out right now? I know the Egos, and G6R, but are there any others? I'm really interested on getting one and really want to weigh in the options!

Thanks, Justin.

That would be ego vs intimidator, actually. The Gr6 is just the newest version of the intimidator.

Here is the correct section to post Vs threads. I bet you will find ego vs timmy threads in here, already. http://www.pbnation.com/forumdisplay.php?f=828

Keep in mind that Gamers list includes traditional stack-tubed poppets like the Intimidator/Ego but also has 'Inline poppet' markers like the Axe/Mini and Marq series.
The inline poppets have a 'softer' shot compared to the stack tube design but not as soft as a spool valve like a Dye Matrix.

It would actually be much easier to list all the markers out there that aren't poppet-valved.

I was thinking the same... There are a lot of poppet valve markers on the market. This will be a fun thread to watch.

For the top 2 ST poppets, - evidenced by performance, reliability, and customer service, I'd go with:

JT Implulse
LV1 (Not sure if the LV1 is really even a poppet anymore, so much as a lever valve'd marker.)

Everyone else? IDK... The market is slowly becoming more saturated with Spools over poppets.

The best poppet valve marker available today whether you are talking stacked tube or single tube is a Victory (Gen 2 Marq) with the VIS poppet engine.

The LV1 is my pick as the best stacked tube and probably 2nd on the list for overall poppet IMO. The G6r is a VERY close 3rd ...
The Impulse is underrated and can be found for $450 making a decent pickup at that price. However you can also pick up a G6r for that price, and the G6r has superior performance in my opinion; much more efficient and can be tuned to be smoother and quieter as well.
I would also put the Angel AR:k up there as well ... it shot really well and I was very impressed with it ... it's downfall for me at the time was the required maintenance.

The only poppet I would add is the Alien ... they shot fairly well for the price too.

I've owned many Cyborgs of all generations (except the not yet released 6), a G6R, and currently own an Axe and several other nice poppets. The JT Impulse is the best stacked tube poppet marker I've ever had the pleasure of shooting, let alone owning. With how I've got mine tuned right now, it's smoother than my Insight and Axe by a slight margin. I highly recommend you take a good, hard look at it--it's very efficient, smooth as glass, and extremely comfortable and light.

And everyone is forgetting the Fusion line from Dangerous Power.

Everyone hears a lot of bad things about Dangerous power because of the G3/4/5, and here's the scoop on that: The G series markers are Spool Valve markers and need to be taken care of as such. With that being said, the majority of breakdowns are from players that will buy them because they are inexpensive and they treat them like a 98 Custom. Every issue I've ever seen with a G3/4/5 were all routed back to an owner who never services his/her marker, or improperly services it.

I saw a TON of QC issues on the G3's. 1 G3 out of the box wouldn't even fire because the QC was so bad that the trigger wouldn't move in the trigger frame. Saw bolts made to incorrect spec and leak, etc. Haven't seen that in the G4/5 though.

Really no point in owning an automag now that the crossover came out. It eliminated most all the problems associated with automags + a full electronic trigger.

But a Crossover isn't an Automag.

Exactly. There will always be a market for "old school" style guns. Not to mention if you run out of air, which you will do with a Mag is chop down a tree, dig a foxhole or use it as a prybar.

And in my opinion a trigger screw modded Enmey is better than any non RT/electro mag I've shot.

You can't still get emags though to my knowledge. Is there someone who still makes an emag frame? i know Tom stopped many years ago due to the threat of litigation from the unmentionable soulless company that makes voldemort look like a kind and loving individual.
