Lurker vs. Disruptive vs. Stella

Ultimate barrel comparison! Heard great things about each.. I currently have disruptive 2pc. and is the quietest I've owned. What's your thoughts on these?

I have a lurker and DW and was thinking of getting Stella with DW whiptip

lurker looks the best in my opinion. But yesterday I tried the dw 682 then the 684,2 piece lurker and the lurker had a metallic ping and sounded louder than DW fibur. Later I will try both and use same bore size since I think that was unfair for the 2 piece

I prefer the Lurker, though I haven't had an opportunity to shoot the Stella. The Stella looks really nice, but I can't justify the cost right now.

You have the death touch or balance barrel? There are some slight differences between them. The balance have a 6.5 inch inner bore and the disruptive have a 8 inch inner bore and are reverse threaded like the eclipse barrels wich the balance is not.

The new lurker barrel have a whole 9 inch back bore and have the most amount of porting of any barrel ive ever seen. The amount of porting in different barrels are measured in Jinx18 barrel thread where the Lurker does the best in that regard. So it should be the quietest.

Problem is lurker has been out of barrels for a month and a half. Think he is tired of taking my $$ until the paragon sucks up most of a paycheck.

They'll be back in ~2 weeks. I sell them faster than I can get them produced...maybe I should raise the price

Both are very well designed barrels with long control bores. The Stella has a bit more versatility with the different tip options as well as a variety of bore sizes for both the backs and fronts.

The Lurker has a very efficient design and to my knowledge the most porting so it will likely be the quieter of the two.

@Lurker by having your barrels so competitively priced the more users on the field owning them will create a better awareness of your name/brand. increasing sales on future products.

I'd like to see what the Lurker Barrel's sound signature testing stands at. Till then, You're not going to find a quieter barrel because DP has the patten on their Balanced porting - the key to their success in sound signature reduction.

Others have tried to copy the design "cough" PE "cough" but it still doesn't work the same.

DW barrels are fantastic components for any marker, but they're not really any quieter than any other higher-end barrel. Their porting is very basic - and that's about it.

The disruptive barrels are fantastic as well as the lurker barrels. I have only shot the lurker barrels for a short period of time but they are really starting to grow on me.

Well since I had my lurker. I have put maybe 5 cases. And I love it

Today I used my DW fibur though. Lurker was too big for my paint. And I used my freak 687. It is smaller bore than my lurker 684. Stupid gog inserts are not accurate(not ball trajectory. The size that they are suppose to be)

I just wish lurker made a 680 or 681. Then I'd prilly use his barrel EXCLUSIVELY.

I like the idea of the Stella barrel but it reminds me of the Flasc Barrel System (which is much much cheaper). I have never shot a Lurker or Disruptive barrel so I can't give any input on the two.

Continue to hate the 15" of the Lurker & Disruptive barrels, and thus continues to sit in my barrel kit wasted.

That being said, I prefer the signature on the Disruptive, but considering the cost of the lurker, its a no brainer for most.

Does anyone happen to have two or maybe even all of the mentioned barrels?
It would be so interesting if somebody could do a video of shooting every barrel on the same gun, comparing sound and shooting 10 balls or so to compare the fps readings.

I do have both, and will be doing a ultimate barrel showdown sort of deal soon. However, it won't be for another month or so.

Awesome! Very looking forward to this video.
Will also be at least one month 'till I can afford to order any of these barrels from the US. At least 50$ shipping costs + taxes just isn't really fun -,-. So I can wait for it

Owned the disruptive one piece for awhile...super solid barrel and one of the best companies I've ever dealt with! Haven't tried the death touch or balance (or new cf)...I would still be shooting one today if Lurker hadn't been such a jerk and released quite possibly the most fantastically perfect barrel on the market! I have nothing but praise for the V3 Eigenbarrel...solid in every aspect: construction, weight, performance, aesthetics, PRICE!!! You get more then you pay for, which I don't think I can honestly say about a lot in the paintball market...period. I gave up a beautiful dye ultralite with a dw's whip tip because I fell so in love with my V3! Personally if I had to choose between the two, I hate lettin some business go from Disruptive...but...Lurker has me hooked on his barrels for life now! Not to mention the customer service has been great...but I can't make that a notch in the belt specifically for lurker alone...if you ever stop into the Tucson store or call any of the guys at Disruptive, be prepared to enjoy being taken care of! Great company! Dammit...kind of rolling around the subject...
Snag a Lurker V3 and enjoy! Disruptive barrels rock, I just enjoy my Eigenbarrel with leaps and bounds above anything else on the market!
