Me too. I think it's the LPR setting. If it is too low it won't shoot quickly

Have you shot paint with the eyes off or just dry firing? Cuz the dry fire ROF will be different than ROF with actual paint in my experience.

I can get a really high ROF dry firing with the eyes off but but it wont shoot as quickly shooting with paint. This is my experience.

That is why I have narrowed it down to my rotor torque setting and LPR pressure. I have made the changes but won't know if it works till I play this weekend.

A low of faulty battery without enough current output could also be a problem.

When you have eyes on, it sucks more power from the battery, which could at a low level not leave enough current for the noid and eyes to work together. With eyes off, the noid now gets enough power to cycle faster. Try a new name brand battery from another package. Also make sure the battery is 100% secure on the harness and that the clasps aren't loose(if it has clasps, I don't remember)

Even though the eyes are protected by the eye pipe you may want to break the gun down a bit further to actually clean the eyes off with alcohol. Some type of lube/paint/shell could have gotten on there and be causing problems.

Check the eye wires to make sure they aren't pinched or nicked anywhere. Any type of crushed or nicked wire can cause problems.

Make sure all the wires are secure in their plugs and the plugs are secure in their receivers.

If the board thinks the eyes are blocked, it will default to the eyes blocked ROF. It will think the eyes are blocked if the receiver eye never receives a signal. Why that signal isn't getting through, is the problem. Bad eyes, pinched wires, dirty/scratched/misaligned eye pipe, lack of power.

The only other way it can happen is if you have your eye sensitivity set too high, or your eyes on ROF is set lower than your eyes off ROF(don't remember if that's possible on the DM14) or if your board is messed up.

If there is a factory reset option on the board, that's worth trying as well.

Shouldn't it flash green if that was the problem though?

It depends on what the problem is. If the eyes are working, but everything is being slowed down by a settings or board issue then no.

Has anyone tried swapping eye pipes? I wonder if some of them are just not transparent enough from the factory.

I fixed my issue by taking out my eyes and putting them back in. And I did it a few times because its a pain to get them in. And they never looked right. Finally I took my feedneck off so I could get my fingers in there easier and everything seemed to fit better. And no it works. I think they were not aligned straight enough. Like they worked but I think they struggled to see the ball fast enough.

Ya if they're not in there perfectly level the emitter "beam" will miss, or only partially hit the receiver eye.

Pinched wires cause problems too, even if the wire isn't actually broken. It's worth a check.
