Vis shot quality

Shot quality is difficult to see unless you have had many guns, or, compared guns side by side.

I recently had the opportunity to shoot a GTI, Luxe 2.0 and my new vis and was surprised at the result.

GTI-Super smooth
Luxe- not as smooth as GTI but better ergos and trigger.
Vis-listtle louder and recoil characterstic was different than the others.

The vis kicks rearward more than up. Little different than the others.

BUT- Shot quality... Does anyone agree that the shots come out of the gun differently? I felt like the Luxe and GTI lofted balls, when the Vis was shooting darts. I shot in the same location at the same target and felt like the vis shot through the target and the others shot to the target.

Also, all velocities were within 10fps of each other.

Does anybody out there feel the same way about the vis? I am super impressed

I never shot a VIS, but on my Insight I love that extra feedback on my shots. On my old GT sometime I felt like it was shooting low FPS and messed with me mentally some how LOL but i like that extra feedback and I feel the Insight has a whisper hush sound compared to a muffled sound of a GT

i was never a big fan of the gt's but then again never shot a broken in one even with the gti's, always thought the luxes where smoother, but then again thats from a guy shooting luxes for 3 years lol.
as far as the this goes you have to remember it is a popit and for that it will not be as smooth as a spool. mine really doesn't have much if any barrel rise so if thats what you mean by the darts id agree with you. it probably has a quicker shoot too witch you are feeling. i feel a more reasonable comparison for the vis is the the lv1 sense there both popits unless your running the spool engine in the vis. All in all im beyond impressed with the vis coming from a guy who exclusively shoots spools some how the vis has become one of my favorite markers. bob long made an amazing improvement on its already solid platform.

With the feather touch screw in I would think the luxe would be smoother the both guns.

You would think that, but you would be wrong. The Insights I own are as smooth as my Luxes once the Insights are broken in (between 3 to 5 cases.)
The VIS engine can have some small amount of muzzle rise at some LPR settings; mine seem to work best around 60 to 62 PSI. At 62 PSI, my VIS engines are as smooth as a Luxe using the feather touch and stock settings with 0 muzzle rise; the broken in Insight and a tuned Luxe will be smoother. The sound signature is louder than just about any spool, but not by much and is very close to the Vanquish so louder, but just so. It is hard to describe just how much I like the VIS Engine. It is smoother than the Lv1, again louder, but smoother depending on how you setup each marker.

The Vcom engine is smoother than a tuned Luxe and is one of the best shooting spools out there with the exception of the Clone GTi which is the smoothest shooting marker I have ever owned.

I agree with Colbster. The shot from my VIS or Vcom seems to be on a string. Where as my Luxe and Geo would have a drop or arch to the shot. My Vis shot so consistant at MAO. Chronoed at 295 and stayed there all weekend. The sound of the VIS engine was no worse that my GEO2. And as far as efficency I shot 6 pods and a hopper and had between 21-2200 psi left on a 4000psi fill. Im gonna shoot these guns into the ground before I replace them.

Yes the VIS is a poppet, so is the LV1 and I owned examples of both that were smoother than some really nice top end spools out there.
