How many teams are you drawing on the previous events? It's a single Open division or what? I saw 17 teams for your April event, but only 5 at the last one. What kind of cash payout was given for those previous events?
The paint prices you posted are decent.. probably better than most players have access to... but I still think you'll be hard pressed to get teams to travel very far under such circumstances... since paint cost will be the biggest expense and/or they have a sponsorship/brand preference that'll cost them an extra $100 off the bat.
Aside from all of that, Georgia has the GFOA event at Nitro on the 12th and the MiLP at Prime the following weekend.
Thanks for the feedback my man.
The first event drew 17 teams and the payout was as follows:
1st - $1,000 plus (5) Elex Goggles and various other soft goods.
2nd - $750 plus (5) sets of Proflex Goggles and various other soft goods
3rd - $500 plus (5) sets of Empire Scenario Goggles and various other soft goods
The second event drew 10 teams and the payout was as follows:
1st - $600 plus (5) Elex Goggles and various other soft goods.
2nd - $400 plus (5) sets of Proflex Goggles and various other soft goods
3rd - $250 plus (5) sets of Empire Scenario Goggles and various other soft goods
Since the entry fee is so cheap for the amount of paintball that is played, paint sales are critical to the series longevity, hence the upcharge to BYOP. It will still work out far cheaper for teams to play using their own sponsor paint than any other series offering comparable prizes.
We hope to see a team or two or more from GA make an appearance and try it out. You won't be disappointed in the quality of the events as well as the quantity of paintball teams will play for the low price.
It is one division built from a team point total, rather than multi-divisional. This allows everyone to play and build their team around their point cap.
Thanks for your interest and I look forward to lining up against you guys in the future, should you decide to try it out.
