Mid Atlantic D5 Field

After speaking with a couple teams I think none of us were expecting to play on that grass field the other weekend. Taneytown is a great field to play at, but the field itself was not setup to the layout released, and the actual playing field was smaller, filled with random holes, and not even a level playing field. (D side was uphill) If the EPL prides itself on being a premium league with a premium playing experience, it starts with the field play. Hopefully next time, d5 will play on the field it expects to, and if not, it is announced a head of time, and we have a correct layout.

Thanks

Your feedback is noted and appreciated. You are correct, the field is one of the most important issues for a tournament series. If you ever see something that is out of place at an EPL event, I suggest addressing it with our staff.

I will address most these issues prior to the next event. However, one of these issues will not be solved. As a league, we cannot flatten the land. Switching venues is the only solution to a problem like that. PAP is the only place that provides a central location and space required, so switching venues is not an option at this point.

I take pride is being available to all of the players and teams who participate in the EPL. If you ever have a major issue like this, please address it with me right then. The results will be much more effective for everyone involved.

ya, after walking the turf field the day before(Saturday) we thought the layout would be pretty much the same. But the grass field had different shots, and things didnt seem to be in the same place, like it was off. But PAP is a great facility, and hopefully they will fix the issues with that field.

The grass field did seem slightly off but not by much. Before the event though I was expecting to play on the turf but at the same time with so many teams you have to use a extra field.

Well I can say that most people who were playing D5 knew that they were playing on the grass well in advance due to how many teams signed up (and if you weren't told and you couldn't figure that out on your own...your an idiot)

Yes the grass field is a little bumpy/uneven...WE ARE PAINTBALL PLAYERS not princesses so quit *****ing

Chad provides a great tournament series

Rick Hartman provides a great field and great opportunities

So there shouldn't be any *****ing...win or lose the bumps/unevenness didn't cause the spot you earned...

Play psp. Mao had a 1ft drop from one end to the other. Every field is different you wont be able to get everyone the exact same. After playing psp in chicago and mao I can tell you the grass field at pap is no issue at all. I had two teams playing on the grass field and no one complained about it. Again try spending 2800 for entry and having a 1ft difference in the level of the field from one end to the other. Rick Hartman provides a great field / set up for tournaments Epl does a great job running them!

I didnt have a issue with the field and understand needing a second field. Also I think I know which field you are talking about at Mao
