Speed feed reloading

I have a prophecy z2 with an empire speed feed and I was curious if there is a trick to not losing half a pod while reloading. Is there a technique to practice or is my speed feed being to stuff? (It's fairly new only 20 pods through it)

Generally what I do to try to not lose paint is I touch the edge of my pod to the edge of my speed feed as I open it, so as it opens its at an angle, then I push it to my loader quickly. I treat it kinda like I'm dumping water into a cup. Try not to rush it either. Does paint usually sit on top of your feedgate after you pour?

Practice practice practice!

Grab a full pod, your marker, and get behind whatever bunker shaped objects you can find (tree, couch, bed, fat dog, etc.) and just keep loading your marker. Bonus points for dressing up in full gear while you do this in your house/apartment while pretending you are playing in your pro tourney of choice.

I tilt my loader pretty far inside to try and make it easier to get the angle of the pod over the speed feed Obviously, this is in order to try and not spill so much paint. Like others have said, try and practice at home getting faster with tilting the pod into your loader. The quicker you can move the pod to the top of your loader, the more the inertia will hold the paint in the pod. Example of me podding and spilling no paint. It's not the best example, but you get the point.
