DM6 nick in the body - shredding oring

watsup guys decided to get back in to paintball a little this year and dug up my DM6 from my gear bag. gassed it up and after one shot immediately heard a leak near the bolt. took the bolt out and saw the back oring was ripped. put a new oring on, gassed it up again and same thing happened. I took the bolt out and inspected inside the body and noticed this slight little nick that I think it's causing the oring to rip once it's pressurized and passes over that nick.

first of all I have no idea how this could've even happened. secondly I'm not sure how this can be fixed. thought of using auto body rubbing compound to hopefully smooth the surface over, but I'm not sure how safe that is to do.

the nick itself is like the size of the tip of a toothpick. if anyone has any help or suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it so that I can get this puppy up and running again

it depends on where it is in relation to the bolt but in you can have that section bored out to get rid of those nicks

in my pm8s I did this to reduce the operating pressure.

however if this nick is directly over an oring or not in the dump chamber you are screwed.

Exactly which o-ring is torn?

None of the o-rings that come in contact with the inside of the body actually move when a shot is fired.

im thinking he's tearing one of the outer #020 orings when sliding the bolt in.
probably on the threads for the back cap.

I must have read it wrong, I thought it said it started leaking as soon as he fired it, and was thinking it must be an o-ring on the bolt.

That Nick doesn't seem to have any thing to do with tearing orings, now if he's tearing the rear 020s he either needs to grease them.. if he's tearing the 014 on the bolt tip the. He needs to replace it with a 014/90
