Eye pipe / detents breaking help!

So in two days of playing I have broken one side of my detents in my eyepipe, twice! in my DM14

I took some pictures to show you, I cant remember which side broke the first time cause I thought it would be a one off and didn't think much of it but cmon broke twice? what the hell!

I have checked it seated in properly, did not break paint either day so didnt shove a swab in there, what could be causing this? I don't notice it in game so it never caused me issues but...

anyways help would be awesome if anyone else has experienced this, I got first event of the season in two weeks and hoping to shoot the dm for it.

alright, heres the issue...from what I see

your eye "seat" isn't allowing the eye pipe to sit correctly so when you put the eyepipe in it's forcing the sides of the ball detents inward so when you fire your marker it breaks the ball detents thats why you see one size of the ball detent gone.(if this is truely the case it's a pain in the *** u'll hate it... )

if this is the case let me know i'll explain how to do it..

to test this Put a new set of ball detents in.. and put it in the marker, then put your finger in the eyepipe like you would take it out, your finger shouldn't get stuck in the eyepipe and it shouldn't feel like there is alot of pressure on your finger

yeah. if the eye seal is ripped or torn or just formed awkwardly it will make putting the eye pipe in difficult and cause the detents to be forced outward and eventually break.

If you absolutely had to, it'd probably work. Remember the detents are only to keep the ball in the breech from rolling out the barrel when you point the gun down.

Oring on your barrel? To stop you from screwing your barrel on too tight and cracking the eye pipe. Might be easy fix, just something we've done that stopped all the eye pipes from cracking.
