This thing is cemented together ( not literally ) how do i take the top piece off the regulator? Or is there another way to get to the piston? The tech from dye didn't help what so ever.

Couple ways.

Either use a strap wrench band and put it in the vice and clamp it down TIGHTLY. (method I use) the rubber acts like a pad to prevent marring/scratching.


Some say, use a bit of heat or break the loctite loose, I've never personally had do

the way I did it was about 30 layers of whatever tape you have laying around....
Took channel locks and squeezed as hard as i could while twisting with the allen key inside.


but Grss429's method is the correct method.

You just need a strap wrench and a vice
