X7 Phenom or Project Salvo

I am looking for a new marker but am stuck between the Salvo and X7. I will want a cyclone feed and an e-grip for sure. I am looking for a scenario marker.

If you have the money, absolutely go with the Phenom. The salvo is really just a hyped up 98 custom and is not worth sinking money into. You can get a lot more value out of an X7 and it is a much better base to add to.

X7 for sure if you don't mind paying a little extra. You can pick up a Project Salvo/Alpha Black off Craigslist for really cheap, but you'll sink in quite a lot of money just to get it on par with the X7. I made the mistake of upgrading a Project Salvo and 300$ later I decided I wanted something different. They can turn into real money pits if you're not careful. Depending on your price range, you might want to look into Tiberius Arms markers. About the best you can get for scenario, and some of them are just a little more expensive than a new X7.

I've always went for lighter weight markers since 8 hours of carrying a 12 pound setup makes for a long day of carrying gear. If you ever want to get frisky, check out the Tippmann propane pump in the classic markers section. You can get a ridiculous ammont of shots off a tank.

Both are really great markers. the X7 will be better in the long run, but I also do not like having to carry around that much weight.
