Belsales vs Eclipse QEV

I know Belsales made the QEVs for Eclipse, however, is there anything different about the new design Belsales has for their QEVs? I didn't know if there may be a difference in performance between the new style and old.

Also, though I know a bit about Cockers, I know nothing about QEVs, is it possible for QEVs to go bad, or break and need replacement?

Pneumadyne QE10-FMF or QE10-FAF if you want to be able to swivel it. $7 each.

I was buying these for my paintball markers back before the industry even knew what they were. Then the industry stuck their name on one and miraculously doubled to tripled their price. Back when I use to buy them, they were even cheaper at $5 each and you had to buy packs of five... which meant I could do two markers and have a spare.

Anyways, don't waste your money on a name and buy the original. Pneumadyne.

So you think a standard .44 ram is good enough without QEVs?

Kanadian, How do you connect a hose to those QEVs? Do they need barbs?

And, I'm guessing since no one touched on it, they don't break?

Correct, you need barbs but you just use the barbs off of your ram. I have used QEV's on a belsales 44ram, Freeflow, and ANS ram.

I have never heard of one breaking.

On a belsales 44 ram:

On a freeflow ram

And I don't have those markers anymore.

you dont really have to worry about qev's just randomly breaking, but i always try to make sure they are tucked in somewhat. dont want to sheer one off on a dive because it stuck out too far and caught the ground.

Mine is leaking, any thoughts why? The front one at the end of the ram.

Diaphragm might be dry, unseated or torn.
Dry: run some oil through/into it, a small blunt pin will help in breaking the surface tension of the oil in case you decide into rather than through. No fixy, next.

Unseated: Take the QEV apart and re-seat the diaphragm. No fixy, next.

Torn: If upon inspection you find it torn or if none of the above fix the leak, it's time to change the diaphragm/QEV altogether.
